lol. but the number people who wrote these lists are very little as compared to singapore's population which is 4million +....

"actually singaporeans"
so means the fact that there ARE singaporeans listening to quality music is making museic happy (:

I totally agree with Vickomanic.
Dragged is indeed a great album we can all be proud of.

And i agree too!
it's nice to know his music is appreciated!:D

what intrigues me though, is why people aren't posting HOW the albums changed their lives because an album that can change your life..is a pretty big deal.

let alone 20!

MUSE
Origin of Symmetry
Showbiz
Absolution
Hullabaloo
H.A.A.R.P

muse totally took my whole life by storm. haha, now the riffs i make are really inspired from theirs. haha and i sometimes show small signs of matt's stage antics when i perform.

AC/DC
High Voltage
Black Ice

without hearing some ac/dc, i wouldnt have appreciated overdrive tones as much as today. coz i totally loved max gain, max compression and all coz of the sound and sustain it has. haha

Kataklysm
Prevail
In the Arms of Devastation
Serenity In Fire

haha my fave death metal band. these 3 albums totally got me into it.

Megadeth
Youthanasia
Cryptic Writings
Countdown to Extinction

i randomly bought Youthanasia at gramophone and little did i know it could blow off my mind. i listen to this band everyday now haha.

ok heres the rest
Burning Existence by Godless Truth
Butchered in Excrement by Resurrected
Congratulations... I'm Sorry by Gin Blossoms
Pablo Honey by Radiohead
The Bends by Radiohead
The Beautiful Letdown by Switchfoot
Unplugged by Eric Clapton

lol its great to see how people's musical tastes change over the years. from light to heavy/heavy to light.

The first album that probably opened up my eyes (and ears) has got to be Dreamtheater's Scenes from a Memory.
Iron Maidens Peace of Mind

Then it was Malmsteens Rising force.
Metallica's Black album.
Megadeth's Rust in Peace.
Ozzy's Blizzard of Oz.
just to name a few.

good thread!

you find songs in albums , albums make bands like GnR legends . What they did then they can never recreate and it's the same for a lot of other bands .

back to topic

Take off your pants and Jacket - Blink 182
cause i grew up listening to them and that particular one was my favourite

I like Enema Of The State better.

Oh, i did this on facebook. Albums were too hard, so i typed the artist instead. And i ended up with 34.

^Ohh I'm with zax on this one, TOYPAJ is the perfect middle ground between the catchy pop-punk early Blink and super polished "Untitled" Blink. IMO. Story of a Lonely Guy also happens to be my favourite Blink song, don't ask. ;)

P.S. will put my list up later

the album that made me pick the guitar up was:

200px-Oasis_-_Whats_The_Story_Morni.jpg

albums that influenced me would be:

My Bloody Valentine - Loveless
US - Joshua Tree
Suede - Suede/Dog Man Star (Bernard Butler!!!)
Gin Blossoms - Congratulations I'm Sorry
Jimmy Eat World - Clarity
Nirvana - Never Mind/In Utero
Green Day - Dookie

last but not least, the album i can never get tired of:

only 1 so far for me...

Jimi Hendrix Experience-Are You Experienced ?

ain't it ironic that Jimi's band should be name "Experience"..you couldn't just listen to him..you had to live to him..

all over the world..every noob or seasoned pro guitar players have done a few "Hendrix chords"..or jammed thru "Hey Joe".."the wind cries mary'.."purple haze"..to name a few..

the opening chords of Hey Joe led me to pick up the Kapok..learn the chord progressions and yeah after 20 years...am still learning how to play it correctly..hahaha
