Tonefactor Cream Pie Deluxe

haha chanmin's trolley is the bestest kind in the world. no other trolley can beat his trolley's price, nor the engineering that went into this wheely treasure. muahaha. Amazing that his amps happened to fit perfectly.

Unless I gig ard with my amp alot though, I'd hardly see a need for one. =)

but to think of it.. the Cream Pie was really very transparent... no alteration of the guitar's tonal character whatsoever - didnt matter what setting it was on...

Anyway, for those in the know, I'm getting 'one'of my pedals done up again by the man himself, and rightly so!

eh Chanmin, fwah lau, I can't get the DRRI outta my head. Been hunting for that for ages!

If I'm not mistaken, Cream Pie was actually designed by a guy named Andrew Carrell and shared it to the DIY community at diystompboxes.com. The design basically started of with just under 10 components and the main and only semiconductor component was an NPN Germanium transistor. Throughout the discussion of the Cream Pie thread, there were many suggestions and reincarnations of the design of the circuit until Tonefactor asked Andrew if they could license the circuit and put it into production thus the schematics and layouts that were available on the net were eventually pulled out one by one. I don't know if it was mentioned in the diystompboxes, what was the design that ended up in production. If you know your electronics and was fortunate enough to get hold of the schematic, I bet you could simply build your own Cream Pie and even flavor it to your own liking.

some guys tried building it. refering to the original circuit. it has been revised a couple of times if i read up correctly. but not one has been able to do it close enough. its the components that they say play a huge part.

i've got one again, paid through my nose for it. but it aint leaving!
