alright.. i got a question to ask.. what do u guys use for Praise and worship session?? i'm using single effects.. problem here is.. i dont really know how to set up like... arrangements.. which one to put 1st and all.. so someone.. pls help.. oh ya.. recommended effects pls.. i've got dyna comp, digitech screaming blues, 535Q and a CE5. what else am i lacking at.. intending to get 1 delay and a MI Audio Crunchbox.. Are these all enough???

you'll need a delay. theres a dd3 lurking in soft. maybe dd6 too. reverb helps too. when i do worship, i use delay + delay + amp delay + chorus and wah to add alittle dynamics. im using the 535q btw.

cheers

BC Rich beast, any Distortion pedal that has insane gain and feedback, max out your amplifiers and just play anyhting.

j/k

Just get the basic ones, like od delay reverb n chorus, maybe a accoustic simulator will be gd too.

Bro dont get too tangled up with the tech side of things, cuz no end one. Just focus on worship can liaoz. If have those things then gd, if no have nvm, it doesnt make the worship any lesser yeah:)

No need for overdrive. Actually, just an acoustic guitar would be best.

The rest tend to detract from worship actually- makes people focus on the player, the music, the band, not the worship.

i actually agree with shred.

only reason i do that is to get the build the background, get the atmosphere up. but seriously, nothing beats the good ol acoustic guitar, heavenly that one.

captures all the essence needed to make worship WOOHOO!

education. Right attitude, right mentality. Any instrument will do. But for starters, what shred said is true.

if youre talking united live/delirious kind of worship then yes, definitely an overdrive. but it must handle low gain very very well.

you can do this .....

and send everyone on an early rapture

.... a modded bd2 with a good delay for a start buddy !
The bd2 goes from clean to swell at a turn of your guitar vol knob... thus givin versatility ya !

thanks

it's not only for church.. it's also for gigs.. want something that can do like Blink and Red hot chilli peppers kind of stuffs..

Red Hot Chilli?? Just above only!!!!

John Frusciante

If you ask me

Guitar - Overdrive - Delay - Amp

for church i use guitar-->overdrive-->amp. either that, or acoustic. i agree with Weiht and Shredcow on their points that using too many effect pedals would take the focus away from worship. acoustic is the way to go! but if you gotta use electric, keep it simple! a delay and overdrive would do. focus on God eh?

Really depends on the songs that you're doin

Nowadays church music covers all genres except heavy metal.
Basically the most versatile rig would be:

guitar - wah - od - distortion - fuzz - modulation pedal eg marshall regenerator or mm4 - delay.

Should be able to cover all genres in church and red hot chilli peppers as well.
Youll prob need a mr misse board or pedal train as well
