Here's my tele!
Mines not meant to mimic J5 but i just think black with a mirror pickguard makes it look rather cool.
Now my wife has a reason to watch me play my tele!

One down point in this baby, Its a fingerprint magnet!
Here it is .....
This is one of my few axes that i will not sell in a hurry. I just love the mellow weakness of a twang in it.

Hard to find these mirrored ones.
I was lucky to find one i guess.
* Juz a tip if u manage to find one and want to fit it in. DO NOT TIGHTEN THE SCREWS TOO TIGHT!! THE PICKGUARD WILL CRACK!!"

eieio: how 'old' is your old squier and made in which country? cos if it's japanese and old enough they are pretty sought after so i'd say stick with it..strings are the cheapest way to improve your tone..a thicker gauge sounds and feels better to me and worth losing a little playability for..i use 11-50 btw and your mileage may vary..

This tele was born a long time ago..and recently it got 'revamped'..
haha..after months of playing and bringing around, it got knocked and chipped, checked and all..so i decided why not relic it abit more, so i went on to do some additional stuff that i felt was a rather unconvincing relic job..haha
the specs are,
an old body from unknown source,i believe was an old fender or squier body,which i painted sea foam green ,
the neck is an american all parts super chunky c shaped rosewood neck,
with old Gotoh vintage styled tuners,
tonerider vintage styled pick ups (very underated i must say),
the bridge is of an unknown brand,
and the pick guard is an old mirror pickguard i found in my cupboard..its from a squier tele i had..its scrathed, and some of the mirroy things came off, which adds to the look!
the guitar reminds me of old beat up cadillacs.
for this guitar, the pick ups are very hot, and the twang is amazing, esp when paired with thick strings.
im using 13s right now and its taking a toll on my fingers.. haha but i just cant resist the tone and the feel of it..i used to bend with one finger all the time, now i can hardly do that cos my fingers are are not strong enough..
overall the guitar is amazing!
can you guys tell the natural and artificial relics? haha
the flash made the colour a little lighter, the original colour is alot greener den the pics..
