Not really sure but usually guitars from Korea and Japan are basswood. fgl told me it might be basswood. But really not sure.

I tried to zhng up the looks of my plain old black strat, but the only tort pguard i could find costs like 90 bucks! so i went to davis and got a cheapo. suprisingly it fitted like a glove! also, i converted it to SSS. It was HSS.

This is the American 2008 standard strat. It's pickups are stock american made single coil and they sound especially toneful. It's the 1st time I actually like my stock pickups.

Now there's a motivation to play like malmsteen. Thanks penta-tonic. WAHAHA!

This is my 1962 RI CIJ Strat that i got from Davis 2 months back.

It came with some Dimarzio collection pickups. read somewhere that it suppose to model the 60s fender sound. Hoping someone could clarify this. Cos this guitar ain't the Texas or American vintage pickups and I cant find much info on it. Nyw, here's the pics.

Yea. I felt the same way to. So I've stopped using coated strings altogether.

Also, the coating peels off at the fret areas which causes unwanted fret buzz. It's wost with a vintage radius neck.
