Hi all, need to refresh my mind since I'm finding my 0.71mm Dunlop USAs too flappy for alt-picking. But from searching for past threads, these threads on picks very quickly become picks brands threads.
So here's the question: As a shredder, what pick do you use, and what properties does it have that make it the best for you? Perhaps if possible, you could state its cons too.
I'll start. My ultimate shredding pick would be the V-pick light. Its thick and gives that full tone, yet its three tips are smooth yet pointed so alt-picking seems a breeze. They also stick to my skin - marvelous, no more worries about 'em flying out of my hand. The cons are that they are expensive, and being very thick and hard, hurt my strings much more than regular Dunlops.
