Considering putting a phat cat onto the neck, got a JB in the bridge...from wat i noe the neck phat cat is reversed wound to the bridge one so tat it will cancel hum when use in together with the bridge version phat cat...but my bridge is a JB.. so will i need to get the neck version or the bridge version?

Anyone tried GFS Mean 90's?? They look pretty promising and affordable for the price..

i used to have em in my POT tele...
the GFS dream 90s kicked alot of ass for the price... very good clean tones, handled drive tones very nicely too... i dare say the Harmonic design Z90s i bought... costing a couple of times more... are only slightly better then these.
not sure about the price i paid..
but its definitely less then $100 sgd for both - including shipping

1) p90s are the fattest of the fat. if you like fat tones then p90s will make you smile more than humbuckers can! cleans are more sparkly than on hums but i cant really agree about clarity, it depends on yr drive and settings i find p90s can be muddier, but thats where you get the fat!
2) the hum from p90s is terrible, you've got to accept the good with the bad, the hum is worse than on strat single-coils, even when you shield n ground like crazy. aiyah a bit of hum never hurt anyone...
3) edder, i love my goldtop too, its just the dirtiest, meanest, ugliest, disgustingest n most aggressive fat toned beeeeyyyaaatttccchhh i've ever owned. thank you so much for your kind comments, you know how guitar owners love to have mutual stroking sessions so heres my turn: i still have dreams about that strangely shaped one pickup gtr i tried at tags this year from you. what the hell was it n where can i buy one?

3) your beeyotch is kirrer! that strange geetar is Squier 51. No longer in production but you should be able to find em on classifieds here and there. There was one member here selling lah... pickup upgrades is a must but thats just it other than a bit of adjusting here and there. Got it from Swee Lee super mega biannually sometimes triannual sale for 300bucks or thereabouts... or issit 200 bucks or thereabouts with a thin Ritter Jr bag. I dunno man... but that is fricken value for money!
4) hahaha.... its been improved and finally there's a meaning to "NEW and IMPROVED"! How can anything NEW be IMPROVED? well it is now. Its got a BOTTOM/FAT/BOOZE whatever you may call it knob that let you choose between a TIGHT bottom or a FAT BIG LEGGED BOTTOM or anywhere in between. Looking at the dates now... November seems too short. December probably. I dunno man.... its the beer. :mrgreen:

I`m thinking of changing the P-90 dogear pickups in my Epi Casino n replace them with GFS ones..but the thing is GFS ones only have black n cream covers..my stock ones are chrome covers..possible to detach the p90 pickup tats already soldered to the chrome cover? If not possible, then no choice gotta use the cream colored ones tat doesnt match my Casino parts

GFS comes in chrome cover lah. I ordered mine in chrome.
