The meaning of ACDC and KISS

i'll let my kids decided for themselves what is good or bad ... with guidance from me ... i rather have my kids smoke in fornt of me than for them to smoke behind my back .. ya get what i mean? Not that i will encourage them to do so.

And if you are a true musician ... you feel the music and know that is good ... you jus love the music ... and I love Rock. There's depth in it ... not just mere riffs and solos ... it's the way it makes you feel ... and it not neccesarily Anger and Violence ...

maybe its escapism like blasting a Skid Row song while driving down the highway ... makes you feel liberated ... relaxed ... and you just smile and drive on ... like looking at a Van Gogh painting .... it's art.

Sometimes I like to disturb those seated next to me on the bus. I purposely blast to some heavy metal song on my Zen player like "Master of Puppers" or some AC/DC songs and when it comes to the solo , I purposely fall asleep then they will be like staring at me.... :roll:

just an innocent question: would you let your kids (KIDS, not young adults etc) listen to rock bands? espcially those that glorify questionable values?

Hmm.. My younger brother is a hardcore KISS fan, and he even posts at kissforums.de (which I don't post at). Surprisingly, his behaviour and literacy level is much higher and better than most kids his age (13).

My own kids in future wouldn't have much to listen to except for X JAPAN, Yoshiki's solo classical works, AC/DC, KISS, The Beatles, and maybe some of my future wife's musical influences...So I pretty much guess they would be into these artistes too, that is, until they're old enough and get to know friends who introduce them to the pop music of their time.

hm .. from what i understand P.O.D. is not Christian . they are rastafarians .. a form of religion that fuses Christianity, Hinduism and other new age religions together ...

Bob Marley was Rasta .. they are distinguished by their signature dreadlocks hairstyle ...

I think when children can tink indepedently, it will be time to let them on their own bit by bit... If I'm a Rock n Metal player, and my son gets a deeper liking and understanding of blues, and has before that had considered other genres of music, then why not?

A fan of AC↯DC ! ACDC basically stands fo Alternate Current Direct Current (ACDC) Thats why their songs like High Voltage and TNT. Influenced by high power chords.

heard this when I was a kid
it's obvious it's to stop kids from engaging
rock and roll, especially hard rock and heavy metal
which to parents sound to them as noise

anyway in sexuality terms, AC/DC is bisexual
AC, alternate current - gay
DC, direct current - straight
