The meaning of ACDC and KISS

I got 2 questions to ask all you rock & rollers out there...

1) Is it true that AC/DC stands for Anti Christ Devil's Children?

2) Is it true that KISS stands for Knights In Satan's Service?

I hope you all enlighten me on these 2 questions....

1) You can fit all sorts of description to "acronyms" to the point where it gets ridiculous. Eg WHAM =Worship Hell's Anti-Christ Minions

2) The satanic tool these days is NOT music (backward masking and all that nonsense). It's so passe and has been around since the 60's or 70's.

The REAL satanic tools these days is GAMBOY ADVANCE & Pokemon games.
Have you seen a kid playing these? They're like living in a world of their own once it's switched on.

i heard from one of their official fansite they thought that the label "AC/DC" was cool and found it on the back of some electrical appliance... u know, coz it says so and like represents an AC or DC current... AC for alternating current, DC for Direct Current... so AC/DC

AC/DC - 1) It is said that one of the band member saw it on an appliance and thought it had something to do with power. (It does mean "alternating current / direct current".) The band used it not realizing it was also slang for a bisexual- the band claims NOT to be bisexual.

AC/DC stands for Alternating Current/Direct Current. They actually got the name after seeing a AC/DC sign while passin by a powerplant or something. They thought it suited their highly "charged" music they make. As for the anti-christ/Devils' child name, its jus a name some people who cant accept their music gave them. As for them writting about the vices and dirty stuff about society, they jus think its more fun to write about those stuff.

I think a lot of the acronyms came about as rumors from Christian extremists. To give you a better idea why I say so:

When I was in Primary 6, my friend who was a Christian, actually brought in a Christian-related book to school. The book was, in a word, incredulous. It claimed the electric guitar, the stratocaster, was -SATANIC- because of the 2 horns, which signified the horns of the devil on the head. -> :twisted:

(oh, and as usual, rock music, metal and whatever are satanic. half of us in soft have already pledged allegiance to the devil and this forum is to bring down the world through discussions on music.)

That is the kind of closeted, uninformed minset about bands and music that started from the 60s, as a backlash to the ferocity and sometimes, the insanity that happened in rock concerts.

Oh, who cares. My self is a Catholic, but I listen to ACDC, Kiss, and others which has been branded satanist. Even Megadeth's Mustaine who sang (recycled) Anarchy in UK is a Christian. It's about the music... and some people really too extreme in their religion !

And about the concert, it's all about entertainment...
