I like to hang my bass high, cos my hands aren't exactly big nor my arms long so it's sometimes hard to play in the first position if I sling it too low. Someway on my hip is somewhere comfortable for me.

haiz it doesnt really matter how low you hang the guitar lah, as long as you can ROCK!

but of course, you cant rock when you're feeling uncomfortable about your guitar/bass strap level. adjust it higher or lower if you have to, dont care wether its cool or not, cuz music is also about being comfortable, and also about being yourself


personally i hang my guitar in the middle cuz i also do lead even tho' im mostly the rhythmist of my band. today i was performing for a live event in school and i screwed up a solo at the end. my guitar was at crotch level, and usually if im playing lead i would adjust it higher abit.

so as you can see, its not about the fashion and materialistic ideas of others, its all about the you and the music.

Well if ur playing rhythm using power chords alone all the way as majority of punk/punk rock songs are in, i don thing its much of a hassle to hang the guitar down low!

Although ive tried it before, it does gif a strain to the wrist, but i guess in due time, they (punksters) should hv gotten used to it i guess!
