aiya, who cares, this must be started by some mindless sec sch kids, is ur owns preference lo, some ppl like to strip their guitar high so they can shred easier. the theory is same as underwear, some people like to wear underwear high some like to wear low low

Paulie Gilberto's fingers are roots of trees. If his guitar is below his knees he would still b able to pull of insane skips & sweeps. He feels comfortable at tht level. If u hang too high, ur arms get stressed quite a bit. Experiment with it, u will know.

i didnt read the past 4 pages of this thread, but to answer to the question, i'd say no. it all depends on your comfortability. you never know at which length when that someone wears their guitar, its the best comforting position that allows them to play in their full potential.
