don't know if anyone else has seen this yet, just thought i'd share. this is a vote among people on ultimateguitar.com on the best and worst bands of 2008.

personally, i'd agree with the lineup, with the exception of Metallica on the #2 Worst Band, but the others were kinda expected *cough*selloutboy*cough*JB.

Lol. I have to agree that the worst list is really, some of the worst. I don't understand how you can be on the Best List and the Worst List at the same time, but oh wells. Weird.

That said, I have to say that they were too kind to the Jonas Bros. I don't think they are terrible. Completely terrible. Half the people I know that actually appreciates the Jonas Bros don't really recall all their music. It's more of the "OMG They're so cuuuttee!!" sort of reply I get from people when anyone mentions them

Yet again, its mostly all those teenage girls who do that.

Hope this is not considered "bashing" them

i think.. ur list is a list of YOUR best bands of ALL TIME. those other bands u mentioned are pretty inactive this year.

the list is the best and worst bands of 2008. thats why u will see that cool bands like the led zeppelin aren't on it.

my best band for 2008 would probably be AC/DC and metallica.

worst list? dont get me started on that.

If I am not wrong, only Metallica has released new materials this. The rest of the bands in the 'best' list doesn't have anything new. So, I don't think it's feasible to put them in the 'best band of 2008' category.. if not I will be putting my favorite bands in the 'best of 2008' despite no new materials.
Decent but predictable list.

it was a vote, so it looks like lots of people voted for Metallica as the best and worst band. it seems like the reason why people don't like Metallica is because they've changed too much since the MoP days.

Hey..you can't expect all those trash metal bands to be the best of 2008.I mean people should be given chances to at least be respected to their standards.I think that Metallica's won too many nominees during their older days.Even if you (Symphony.....)warn people not to reply to your message,I don't care.A7X is a metal band and they are a rising band.They deserve to be one of the best bands this year.
About the worst bands,I didn't expect Metallica to be one of them.Shame on those who voted them as worst bands of the year.

metal is becoming one of the most popular genres among the younger generation already. thanks to bands like a7x, trivium and many more. and thanks to these bands, many of them pick up guitar cos they think synester gates is the coolest guy ever and his solos are the best in the world.

so if u observe the threads in the gear section, most of them are enquiring abt metal tone this metal that. which amp for metal which pedal for metal. well, i dont know if this is a good thing or not..
