I would be paying 1/3 of my income in tax if I was resident in Australia. Luckily I'm resident in Singapore and paying more like 3% :)

Guitars and other musical equipment is all cheaper here in Singapore.

hmm? zhun bo? i dunnoe la... but go online, seems like everything they have there is cheaper. and they got so many friggin dealers, singapore only got that handful. By the laws of demand and supply, singapore will have more expensive prices

hey superkicky, how's the blues driver you got? iirc it's modded by randolf right? what does it do to your sound? I'm looking for a variation of the geddy lee twang, wondering if i could achieve that through effects or by bass+amp alone.
 
It's very good, and yes it's modded by Randolf :) Does tend to loose a bit of low end if you turn the drive all the way up, but all, if not most, overdrives tend to do that in my experience. It also cleans up really well in response to touch and volume.

If you uploaded or sent me a clip of what you're looking for I could try and get it for you with the BD2 :) You can probably do an overdriven tone with bass+amp alone, but you'll need a good amp for that.
 
wad would be a decent od pedal for bass?

Depends how much OD you're looking for. The Boss OD-3 on light overdrive has an even response and is better than the ODB-3 in my experience, especially when modded.

What's your budget?
