Nice bass! What's wrong with the black beauty strings? It looks wicked to me :lol:
Does it sounds mellower than the usual nickle wound? I like mellow sound, not those bright sound.

like wat gsonique said. like playing with a blanket on the sound. tension wasn't there as well. like playing rubber bands. but damn did they look good on that bass.

i'd say it was mellow but a boring sort of mellow not a vintage old man with interesting stories to tell mellow

yeah. like most musicmans, the g and d response isn't the best in the business but it's the price you pay for the huge slap sound.

still needs an active preamp. maybe we should a/b this and your musicmans one day. see how true the stingray killer tag is

sure dude, i think i should stop thinking abt that jazz bass i was talking abt and take out my nikki sixx bass to double check your info abt that opti grab that you read off the magazine poster.

hahaha... bloody idiot of the previous owner nailed the thumb rest there where the bridge cover sup to be... i just closed one eye to it cos it played like butter... tested it for a good 4 days before i made the purchase

dude, its a feature of the nikki sixx tbird loL. its called an opti-grab used to hold the bass while your pick-playing....its not a thumbrest loL

Hi all,

I've got a Fender Jazz Deluxe, thot of getting a new one but i've a problem. I don't know what to get. Here are my choices:

1. Mike Dirnt's Sig P-Bass
2. Rickenbacker 4003
3. Gibson??...lol

currently these are what's on my mind. Please help mi out.

anyway, I'm playing more on Christian Songs, for Punk Rock, i like Green Day, rancid, yellowcard and taking back sunday. Thot it might help you guys help mi out...lol...

schecter model t looks like the dirnt. y don't you counsider that too? from what i hear those are solid basses as well.

since you like punk rock, i'd suggest a p bass but ricks just look too good. what's ur budget?
