THanks!....cuz it looks good...dunnoe if it sounds good...heehee

i must say gibson famous bass only got their thunderbird... apart from that never heard much good comments... check talkbass...

dude, try the bass.... if it sounds and feels good, that is the first thing, it looks great that's an extra, no point gg on stage and look glam when you sound crap.

The SG basses are nice, same as their les paul basses, but try them for your self..... what's nice for one fellow may not be for another.... no point just checking forums, you have to go out there and play them. Same for a lot of guys who ramble on abt basses they dun own or haven't played.

My 2 cents is that if you are gg to blow anything more than 1k.... at least know what it can do physically first. Most good bass brands have very nice QC. If you play one of them, the others are ard there... maybe just have to tweak its setup. This esp if you are buying a bass to use and not collect or put on display.

This is a DS pickup on an Epi EB3:

This is how a DS pickup on my P-bass with block bindings would look like, if I hadn't bought the Nordy pickup:

Darkstars are made by Fred Hammond and are based on the old Hagstrom/Guild basses. you can go here for more info
http://www.basspickup.com/

On top of paying for the pups, they have to be installed by a guitar tech, 'cos you'll need to route your bass to make space for the pickup... which won't be cheap.

If i have an old Guild Starfire bass, can I easily add on this DS pickups?
