That pedal you wish you never had splashed your money on.

cool thread.
bump for thread starter.

as for me it would be the zoom 707...
i tot it was cool at 1st... but as time goes on...
i realise the distortions are too digital n fake...
replaced it wif boss OS-2 n it pwns.

cheers~

line 6 uber metal. a nice pedal, but i got the ehx metal muff a week later, so it began sitting there, not being played. so i just sold it today, to someone who, hopefully, will use the pedal like it's supposed to be used.

Mwahaha, another case of "another man's meat is another man's poison.. "

I LOVE the UM, but I played the MM and I LOVE the MM too. Lol. I've actually managed to get the UM to sound a lil bit similar to a MM although you guys would think its impossible but it sounds like it to my ears, and I like it.

:D

Interesting thread...

hey pathein, the roland synth thing u talking bout, think i red bout it b4, but u gotta install some seperate pickup for it to work or sth, so ma fan haha

indeed it need the midi pickup to work with it, but if you need something that do other sound from guitar, thats prolly one of the few limited solution i guess.

when the Metal Zone debuted, it's the best of it's kind. i certainly thought so, the reason i purchased it. however, along the way, other products manifested its shortcomings. in a way, the Metal Zone is a victim of a lack of improvement, not its fault per se.

Fulldrive MOSFET edition.

Yeap. That $375 dollar pedal.

Essentially a tubescreamer with a couple more options which did not make too much difference. A analogman modded Ts808 beat it flat for a less compressed and had a flatter EQ curve.

heh, the fuzzfactory will prolly make you wonder how is it possible muse get the sound and yet i cant get it sounding remotely close to them at all....

^ matt uses soldanos? at least he used to. maybe thats the answer to the muse sound. i remember a pic where he hooked up to JCM 800s, 2203s or 2204s i believe

^^

yeeah. he usually uses amp distortion. with the exception of songs like plug in baby, new born etc. where he uses the fuzz.

Tonebone hot british, eventhough you can tweak many parameters, I cannot find a good decent tone.

on the contrary, i love my boss ds-1. simple pedal and cheap. but i wish it could have more distortion/saturation

his sound is factor of the whole package, amp to guitar to pedals.

Fuzzfactory by itself, can be quite harsh, not much tightness or definition if not used to those kinda fuzz. Worst still, certain setting oscillate like pig squeal...

i wasted money on my ME50. At first, when i was using single pedals i thought woah multi efx are the shit cause i was a poor student so i changed to multiefx and now i think it sucks. It's not bad but just not for me...
