Swee Lee Sale: Drummers' Thread: What're you going to get?

Haha, after this I guess there will be a thread "What have you bought?"
Anyway, I'm on tight budget and don't really know what I wanna buy either. I'll definitely buy a pair of cobra pedals, some sticks, some cymbals and maybe a throne. weckl-x, any recomendation?
 
i should be going.. 70 percent :D

my list:D

1. iron cobra rolling glide, if its at 50 percent, should be $300 i guess.

2. One crash cymbal, no particular preference as long as it sounds like a crash and a stand for it.

nothing beats better than the chain, my preference... caijunlong, and other drummers/going to sales alike, wan go together all of us?
 
haha. i going to drink with my friends tonight. then we'll come by whenever we feel like it and start queuing. keep a look out on those red faces. those could be us.
 
i heard from my mfo member friend that they only discounting most over rated stuff like cobras and such up to 30% only..

thats why they say, up to 50% but not necessarily everything going to be 50%. so not worth queing and such... Even my MFO member friend not that keen in going.
 
serious? But for every sale they put "up to 50%". But if pedals are only at 30% Then it won't be a much difference from the usual $480 right?

But i have a suggestion to all of y'all!!

Bentley music from KL, they are selling iron cobras for like about 1200RM and my friend said that they have 30% discount.. (not confirmed)

So if this is true, 1200, 70% is around 800.. divide by 2.5 is about 345 or more SGD.

Much cheaper than swee lee.. and if the exchange rate is cheap, than thats ur luck lo...

aiya, that langsuir only want to despise us from getting it so that he has a chance of getting them.. i just went there, just about to grab one and one freaking ang moh who used american dollars got it.. dANG... IM trying my luck tomorrow. anyone wants to tag along?? a few other softies is already on the list.. but don't be late, we want the stuff to ourself asap.
 
Go there, bring as much money as you can and grab all the cymbals like seriously... its freaking good values for all of them ah...

Oh and also if you have a short/hot temper, i suggest u take as much as ur medication or avoid going there, coz i almost blew my fuse at the service attitude of their stuff... they take their own sweet time, bunch up, talk to their friends, serve only those who look rich, and if you quite like small fry or alone, they dont bother or just like raise their voice and give some short answer... grr... i'm still fuming 2 hours after i left

story:

i was wondering how much they would quote the reference sanre...so i asked the botak salesman la...how much?he said i siao where got sell seperately ( FYI the sanre on set with the rest of the reference set is a Sensitone Elite )....den ok...

i ask how much the sensitone elite ( we know that sensitones are available seperately what...it is never part of a standard reference set )....he scold me crazy and talk rubbish...stormed off glaring at me...

From what i honestly know...in the pearl drum catalogues, the reference snare is not even part of the standard kit...in fact when buying online on websites...the snare drum is actually an add on ( besides the usual free $$ voucher )

aiyah nvm la...there are bound to have some weird staff...but there are some nice ones too.

if in anyway i offended him...i would gladly apologise...but from what it was...i think i didnt do anything wrong...i asked nicely...and even smiled after being insulted at...

and i overheard some other people having a hard time dealing with him too...

kanzer went over to another salesman and asked the same question after knowing how i was treated....the other salesman was great...no insults and such....just a nice "nope...not available" kind of thing...

anw...small thing...dunnid to fume over it...cheers :D

Well, his absolutely right..

Well another fellow softie wanted to buy stagestar ride, asked for a price quote, the guy simply didn't respond... I, wanted to buy a pearl elim/iron cobra, was looking for one and i know there's still stock.

Instead of approaching me, he approached another angmoh, and sold it to him coz he bought another snare... haiyaa, life is really tough.. And he just came up, asked another indian guy who bought the last two remaining pair, and took it.. While i was there browsing around... and didn't attend to me..

caijunlong, also got the same treatment, the better one...

Yep, the diff is so blatantly outright jus now. Was observing how those staff tell off the younger guys when they tested and when tis old, classy guy came testing, everything was like A-OK. Damn arse...
