Heng, at least my Edwards is safe frm those lawyers. Oh well, back 2 normal life. Btw sub, u said they may make Burnys, Tokais, Edwards, Greco etc. illegal. But I agree with Sqoobs. If they haven't done anything until now, why would they waste time, money and effort on starting a lawsuit here? Especially since some1 mentioned that by and large, the musician's pool in Singapore isn't all that large? Why would they waste the money on a small island? It would make better sense to wage legal war against these companies in say, Japan or USA right? So......maybe we may not have to be so worried after all. Just my 2 cents' worth.

one of the reasons why these big names have regional offices is for them to conduct statistical monitoring. IF they conduct a study & found out the sales here were affected by the competitors' models, they would, in their right business minds, do something about it.

please note, i didn't say, they make other LP-type brand names illegal- this will happen if they register product design & subsequently find grounds to effect a legal pursuit...

While comparing the prices adv. on sweelee's website for keyboards (Fantom Series) why it is always 3 times more than US prices?

Any Sweelee staff to reply??? What is the intention of advertising high price on the net....Do they really want to sell Roland Products in Singapore or just for fun..??

Don't forget air travel is relatively cheap.
I've been buying my Roland Stuff from Hong Kong.
(example: Fantom XR HK4400 ($1800+) vs $2,200+ in Swee Lee).

On top of the shopping, I get a holiday thrown in as well.

What could be the price in Hong Kong? I am stay put at Jakarta now working for an MNC...Still confused whether to buy in SG or Jakarta or HK ?

i worked at sweelee before.. but dun get me wrong, i dun noe anything abt their pricing policy nor do i go poke my nose into their business.. the thing im trying to say here is, if the price is reasonable, then go buy it, else if there are cheaper alternatives out there, then go the alternative way.

just dun ask them "why outside sell so cheap, u guys go jet up the price?" kinda thing.. it can be quite irritating, u get wat i mean?

Point noted..You know their customer service...Being an Ex sweelee staff you are able to judge someone entering the shop and asking for stuff is really going to buy or not.

However, I had good deals from them when George and the other french beard guy (old man) were there....Now :roll:

Personally from my experience, Service wise Citymusic far better.. they delivered my Extreme 61 home for free !!!
