Spray paints @ Art Friend?

So I bought a Chrome Spray Paint (to match the colour of my pickguard) from Art Friend to cover up a fairly big scratch on my pickguard.

I haven't spray yet, and I wanna know inputs from you guys. It's definitely better to do this then getting a new pickguard right?

BTW, it's an RG's pickguard.

Spray Paint = 10 bucks.

chrome sprays.... waste time only

I'd say go try it on a piece of unwanted plastic first and see the effect.

all talk won't cook rice.

well from my experience chrome spray paints dont look nice at all in my opinion. so yea you should spray on some scrap plastic first and compare it up against you gutiar to see if you like it. before you spray on your actual pickguard.

DONT even try... THE CHROME PAINT IS THICK, MESSY and will discolour over time..moreover the added thickness may slightly damper your tone...

Have tried before - aviod doing it at all costs

Pickguards are supposed tohave scrathes

if U can live with it, order a new pick guard

pickguard a.k.a scratch plate is supposed to be scratch. Duh!

depends which chrome spray you are referring. i got 2 diffrenent brands (one of then is aurosol or something with car picture the other i forgotton) Using both of them, i find that ewhen you spray a thin layer, effect is way better but dont expect to look excalty like chrome. It became dull silver when i spray it too thick
