SLAYER in S'pore (photos added in gallery)

Penguin: Kreator was great man. Sold out crowd attended, was really intense. It was a shame that after that the Malaysia government decided to crack down on the promoter after he announced Mayhem coming to KL. Since then, and I think for the next 5 years, we are not going to have any more heavy metal gigs. And I sorta fear the same for Singapore after reading Doublea's post? :(

Cheers and beers folks, time to catch my bus back!

Nitro: Maybe next time gig organizers can consider selling tix at one price? I mean, this is not some mainstream Michael Jackson concert for 'market segementation' to max profits.

That way we can all 'sort out' ourselves and we will all get to have fun in our own ways :)

Jus my tots ...

Oh yeah, I couldn't hear Tom Araya speaking properly from where I was, what was he talking about when he mentioned 'their management'? And what song did someone shout which Tom replied to saying "they weren't allowed to play it?"

Yes! Tom Araya's voice sounds muffled from where I stand too and I was standing in the 125 area, esp for the first 2 songs
Anyway Censorship sucks

Yeah!! Dream do come true and last night, my did!!! Really can't imagine being able to catch Slayer in SG at all man. It happened and I am a happy man. A Slayer fan since 1991.

Glad that they did a major of the "Decade of Aggression" classic setlist. All I wanted to hear was played.

Can't really complained much about the sound quality, being a one off show. Just that I wish could have hear more of Jeff solo parts, as I was standing on the right side $60 section, kerry stack side. I think the guitar mic up was not emphasised on the main house system.

I think about a 3K strong crowd, pretty decent considering Slayer is not a mainstream band. Even got some chinese uncles rocking beside barrier rampaging headbangers. A real varied crowd, like a calling from the pits of abyss, beckoning Slayerheads from all angle of society to come congregate.

Slaytanists lives forever!!

Slain by Slayer! I felt damn tired but when a song starts i just went crazy again. Energy of Slaytanists man! F*ckin awesome! oh nitrovo when u shouted slayer outside, we all heard the crickets.

Remember when we were all waiting outside for the doors to open then it started to rain? Then that guy just yelled 'Its Raining Blood!' and everyone started cheering. Awesome :)

Man, what was with that?!!

Wheres the support. Get into it you sissy's

made me feel like a dickhead hahaha. One guy smiled at me, so kudos to him...

I was right at the back in the $60 , met some old friends who are old uncles too. The sound was better from the later half of the shows. There were people moshing at the back at the $60 side and there were lots of space for them to mosh. I saw the aux police keeping an eye on the them but I guess they too lightened up a bit when they saw guys helping each other up when they fell on the ground. Any way it was a great gig .

Somehow the show fell short of expectations, Slipknot's concert was so much better. It was far too shorter than expected 2.5 hrs. The show was over in 1.5 hrs after 2.5 hours wait.

Nevertheless, I never thought I would be so front! King was right there in front of me, 'devastating' his guitar away! I was dying to hear AntiChrist, Disciple. It was embarrassing to say, but Slayer's backdrop was not even put up on the stage. Guess lots of songs were probably replaced.

Slayer started the show with South of Heaven, ON & ON SOUTH OF HEAVEN! I got hit on the head by some guy's boot while he was happily body surfing. It went really hard on my head. But it was an awesome headbanging and pushing-around. I flew backwards when people snatched and fought for Lombardo's drumstick. It was crazed. There was also a crazy mosh pit when Angel of Death blasted on stage.

But I still think Slayer would be so much better performing anywhere else.

awesome gig.
anti-climatic tho.
ah wells, its an experience i wont soon forget. :)
long live the behemoth that is slayer.

wonder what band will come down next.
any band from the current unholy alliance tour please!

hmm i think the boot that hit ur head was mine..muahahaha  ...i was surprised by the unity yesterday night. No one retaliate or shit like that...there were no fights...interesting!
