Singapore Idol Finalist? YOUR THOUGHTS!!!!

A matter of saying - Its not how you win, its how you lose. Nurul and Mae now recording their own songs maybe an album soon. The rest no news as yet, who knows, any of the rejects will outwin the champion.

I support Singapore Idol, as its a stepping stone to have your talent heard. Farhan and Sezairi will be playing with their bands on Mediacorp's NYE party. Very good exposure. Nurul will be playing with her band, tomorow at Dhouby Ghaut Green.

I feel that this year's Idol show is just a show to recoup what Mediacorp's has lost. In terms of money. Nonetheless, its a great platform. Good to see Jack And Rai playing live. And Nathan Hartono, hes actually better than the idols. HAHA.

And still, WHY CHARLES STILL IN? I got irritated by his whole body language ah. The new trailer, altho he didnt move much, still, i got irritated.
 
I heard that Tabitha was supposed to be out last week.. but then i think they made it non elimination round to sorta cover up for her and keep her in!

Speculation about that has been going on ever since last week's controversial episode.

Anyway, Charles is out. Now things are going to get a little more interesting as competition heats up.

I still think the final is going to be Seizari VS Tabitha, though

Although I adore Sylvia but I've got a feeling that Tabitha will win.

I still think that the stage lighting sucks. Makes it look like a cheap production.

Not just the lighting man everything including the MIDI sounding soundtracks used. Like some amateur school project. To this day I cannot understand why they refuse to use a good live cover band.
 
its due to budget tim098. Hope the future SI will have live band cos its definitely gonna step up the standards by a huge deal. But I trust thats never gonna happen :???:
 
Simple answer my friend, Budget...Live musicians cost money, for a one-night only set, the organization would easily fork up a couple of thousand bucks...Multiply the total number of sets, then you'll see the whole big picture...:)

In my honest opinion I thought Sezairi and Tabitha should be the finalists, but coming for a season which dropped vocal powerhouses like Mae Sta Maria and Duanne in early stages I am not surprised with such result.

I'm concerned about Sylvia's over-parading her humble backgrounds though. It makes me feel that her humble background story is used to garner sympathetic votes (a reason why she edges Tabitha in the votes?). It will be much like Cinderella if she wins it. She's got talent but her plight shouldn't been over-paraded. It taints her talent when it comes to public voting shows.

Anyhoots, it's hard to pick a winner, but I bet it will be a massive showdown.

i do agree with extremers. BUT after ytd's interview with the girls on 987fm, tabitha showed her 'true' colours. Too much confidence in her. That can be a bad thing. Wish Sezairi and Sylvia all the best !! :)

PS: I never vote a single vote throughout the contest. :) What do you guys think of fans crying or even shouting at home when the results are out?
 
I was actually quite flabbergasted when Vomit Singh went "Sezhaireeeeee!!!"..:eek:

I thought, like many others, an all girl finals was practically a given, given the outstanding performances by Tabitha and Sylvia last night which clearly outshone Sezhaire's.

Don't get me wrong, that dude is really big on talent too, and likable but I agree with the judges when they said Sezhaire does not look like a star or an idol.

We all know it has to come in a package, for someone to be called an 'idol'. Yes, there are excellent singers and musicians and wildly talented people but idols are different. You know what I mean.

I simply adore Sylvia but I really thought Tabitha deserved it better but oh well, this is a reality show decided by the public votes. ;)
 
Yeap taitha owned sezairi last night. pretty sad she left. she is good. i think better than sylvia.. she got a powerful voice for a 17 year old girl!
 
Hehehehe don't see me Old-Man like that - I also vote one - I tell you (spend $10 on voting) - - for the Finals....I will have to see who I will Vote ( in a fair way) - unlike my friends - - Before the Final comes (and even before they both Sing) - - They already know who they wanna Vote (call me to vote for them)...OMG wait long long I tell them kekekeke .... yeah...Fans will vote for their Favourites here...

I like Tabitha she can sing for her age...really and have the looks too...I was hoping she will get in last night actually..well what to do.

i don't get it why the orgainsers allow people to vote before the contestant has actually sang (for the earlier rounds)
