u r so right! If u hv missed watching blockbusters like Pearl Harbour, Armaggedon, lord of the rings etc - just leave Ch5 running - u can be sure they'll be repeated quite a few times ....

Nowadays, Just For Laughs seems to be repeating old videos... And there shouldn't be Live 'N' Loaded repeats. Live 'N' Loaded should be a regular program instead! :mrgreen:

Although this was not intended for me, I do feel like I have to answer you. Firstly, Singapore cable is extremely expensive(for the good stuff, of course, not the standard channels). And if you don't work or have a rich family where everything is provided for and more, then you won't have cable. The End. But Singapore TV is painfully bad, it's like they are trying to get you to subscribe to cable. They even have TV ads for cable plans all the time. It used to be ok when they showed good movies on Channel 5, or when Channel I showed a movie every single night. Now they either show somewhat recent movies targeted at the general demographic(families with kids) or really dumb Disney Miley Cyrus stuff.

yes we do know cable has lot more stuff. ch5 and the rest have boring shows. but be happy with what you have. or if you are not satisfied. you know, you can always write a letter to mediacorp. :D or just watch youtube.

ps. i dont have cable tv. and i hope sylvia wins.
 
Actually A LOT of good talents were ousted before they reach to the final stages. Regardless, the outcome by month end would mean A LOT OF speculations of all sorts. Think about this, should it be in such scenario;

#1 Sezairi wins; "The Singapore Idol Curse" still denies any female contestant from winning.

#2 Sylvia wins; "Singapore is sick of Male idols and unanimously voted Sylvia for the win, regardless of her lack of talent (as compared to Tabitha, Mae Sta Maria...)"

Also we can sit back and think about the top 4 should the scenario is a bit different.

#3 A "Sezairi and Stitch" final; "The trend of David vs Goliath carries on, Season 1 Taufik vs Sly and Season 2 Hadi vs Johnathan."

#5 If Sezairi wins against Stitch in the finals; The Singapore Idol Curse that denies non-Malay from winning.

#6 A Tabitha and Sylvia final; "A feat never happened before in Singapore Idol history so it should."

And of course there are many many other combination that can be arranged with a whole bunch of conspiracy theories to back it up on why the outcome is such.

Or you can just believe that all of this happen solely because Singapore voted as such.

To move on, I suppose the most logical thing to do is to cease talking about it.

There are absolutely no benefits at all, to involve race in things like this.

It is just plain silly.

yup am there and waiting for the rest of Singapore to do likewise, it's an impossible task but once everybody moved beyond that, then it shouldn't be a topic to talk about anymore.

Well if you don't hear it from me bringing up the racial theories people have on Singapore Idol, chances is you'll hear it from someone else. Proof that not everyone is ready to move on.
