Awesome pedal. Too good. Was sold on it on the first day of testing, one rehearsal and show to confirm it worked well loud and live. I wouldn't really compare it to the crunch box, both have different strong points. The Punch Tone has way better clean up and the gain sounds fantastic set at any level. Extremely good low and medium gain sounds. Alot of clarity and very sensitive. Great high gain sounds too.

The crunch box is higher in gain, more bass and mids oriented . The eq and gain structure still makes it more aggressive and better for the 80s spandex music. More of a one trick pony then the Punch Tone.

All in all. Glad to have both on the board.

Amazing.. Everyday, I wake up thinking, should I sell my Jap DS-1 and get a Punchtone?
No room in my pedalboard, and if something were to make way for the PT, its the DS-1..
