RSAF F5E's are flying over my house, and they are pissing me off

LOL. Life's like that.

With our airforce , our Singapore is safe. Safety or Education? Or Lives or Books?

WOW. having an airshow is crucial to keeping singapore safe? okaaaay. the airshow is one of the many things that the government organises to keep us peasants satisfied.

HAHA not that la.
Im sure the airbase have flights everyday. So yeah. The noise is there.

Don't you love airshows? I hope so.

Who wanna complaint bout fireworks next?
Complaint bout your neighbours playing drums / guitars?

Well, sometimes , im sick of people complaining.

Do you guys feel the same too?
Your feedbacks please on this.

Safe Books

No worries guys. What you are hearing now is already a very scaled down schedule of flying already. FYI, the air force does set restrictions on its pilots during exam timings. If you realise, no aircrafts fly (unles due to emergency) during oral exams. There's indeed an effort to facilitate your studying.

The air show (or more accurately the open house) is to assure the citizens that our air force is ready and CAPABLE to defend the country and its citizens when the need arises. Of course, to enhance your experience, flypasts and other acts are included for your entertainment.

RSAF Black Knights yo \m/ someone please record an upload somewhere please i wanna see them in action. the 2006 airshow didnt have the Black Knights in it

SPOILER

The airshow this year is nothing spectacular. I don't think there is black knights. Just some low speed pass, high speed pass, knife edge, vertical climb.

There are 2 segments happening simultaneously. the apaches are doing their stuff hovering and doing some sequence. Man, I love the sound of their turbine spooling down when they reduce throttle. Its like a vacuum cleaner spooling down but only ballsier

I have been observing from my room for the last week. But the noise is damn nice. I can concentrate even with them doing their low passes, just take it as another neighbour renovating his house. I think hacking the tiles is much more irritating.

RSAF is really agressive on the marketing front lately.

imo, choppers are alot more interesting to watch than fixed wings. AH64s are capable of much more stunts than that though.

haha eh, my house also got noise pollution sia.. but by construction work upstairs.. but at least it gives me a chance to blast my amp to jam studio type of volume and jam freaking loud..

i live in punggol and schooled here too. in school, its like every hour, the teacher had to pause for like 10-20 secs because there were some airplanes flying here and there.

hey ts, wanna swap house with me? im at bukitmerah, where theres no plane to visit me at all! :( haha i love to go to my paya lebar fren house, everytime see planes landing.. shoik!

ok seriously speaking, haha can be rather annoying la, if they fly non stop and summore boom loud loud.. haha just tahan a bit more, then u can see f15s instead of the f(15-10)s.

F-15SG's they;re called.....i believe RSAF will acquire them in 2010. so you wont be able to see them yet.

we can already see f-15s and 18s during certain times of the year. i live very near plab and when the usaf f-15s come down, u can see them on their base leg. and when the australians and new zealanders commerate anzac day, u can see aussie hornets as well.

heh... wait long long. anyway i think F-22 are no longer in production already.
Taken over by the JSF (F-35) already. )=

f-22 is in production but only for the us military. us senate will not allow the aircraft to be exported cause of the sensitive tech in it.

Hmm so far i have not seen any f-15 or f-18 approaching plab. But i saw a single propellor aircraft take of from plab before. Not sure what though. Could be some trainer thingy that singapore was test flying

they can only be seen certain times. the aussie f-18 only can be seen when they commerate anzac day. the usaf f-15s only when having exercises with rsaf. during the asian aerospace as well, saw some mirage 2000s also. living near an air base has its disadvantage if u arent an aviation or military buff but if you are its a free small air show everyday.

at the singapore airshow this year, i saw a usa f-15/f-18 (cant remember anymore) take off from changi airport. quite a cool sight if you ask me cos we normally expect airliners to be taking off from there. It was flying to japan as it was based there.

I will be wearing No.4 walking around during RSAF open house.

im no aviation expert but are u in RSAF and a pilot there??

haha im pretty enthu about all this stuff man... dream job is to be a pilot, currently doing poly studies at the same time doing YFC...
