Rocker ban because of past crime..

Actually, it's society and it doesn't only apply to criminals.
Those in the Normal Acad/Tech stream will understand. You get the worst teachers, trainee teachers. And most teachers look down on you. Why? Cause the school claims that they don't want to deter the express stream student's studies. Like as if it's not a damn deterrence to the normal stream.
It's all really just bullcrap.

hurhur.

even in all exp sch, the last class also gets this...

hurhur.

and on topic.

The event was not organised by Yellow Ribbon:

"When contacted, the organiser, Majlis Pusat, the umbrella body for Malay cultural groups here, declined to comment."

Because of the fact there is no official comment from the organiser to verify, the article was written based on mere assumption. A STRONG assumption but a mere assumption nonetheless. Perhaps there could be other factors in it too?

Whatever the case may be, the Yellow Ribbon project helps to create awareness at least of the plight of ex con. But the fact that it exist, merely highlights the overwhelming prejudice we have against these brothers and sisters of ours.

On a side note, anyone ever been approached by these folks selling $2 pens?

employers are urged to give their female employees longer maternity leave... but pregnant employees are still given the sack, and women in general are discriminated in the industry

yea that reminded me of that pregnant SATA nurse story new paper covered months back.

I think it's not fair to blame yellow ribbon for this case. But more the society we are living in. That is why, we have 2 sided things in every aspect of life. One is trying hard to help things better and the one is trying hard to condemn it. If I read correctly, the crime was done when he was 16. That record should not be available in the first place now basing on his age now. Classification of crimes are abundance.

To be involved in a fight is considered a crime. If you hit someone for self-defence is a crime too! No money to pay utilities bill also a crime punishable by law. So another words, if you don't have money...it can be a crime too man!! Hehehehehe!!!!

Off topic a little....I once went to a court for parking crime(If I don't pay, I will end up in a "Free hotel", that would made me a criminal). But I saw an old man charged for not paying utilities. Damn!! He was brought to the temporary cell for those who can't pay...don't know what happen to that old man!! What a pity....

yeah. this really scary looking guy came up to me and asked me to buy one. he said he was an ex con. and the money went to some society that helped ex cons. i was honestly quite shocked cause i initially thought he wanted to pick a fight or something. so i bought a pen.

now i dont bother. so many of them around. selling them to fund for so many god damned things, i wonder if some of them have licenses.
