The next stage in female liberalisation - Rock Chicks
Its just the next step in society after women who do traditional male dominated jobs such as being an engineer, doctor... even receptionist desk jobs used to be male dominated 50 years ago.
Why women do not have the same rights as men when we are the ones who bring up boys to become real men? Maybe 20 years down the road your daughter will become the next rock star.
Its a evolution to be embraced and not to be stigmatized that girls can't make decent music.
Femininism? No, its just human rights.

I wanted to write my thesis to compliment bro edder bro's but I'm not in the mood to do so... Something crappy happened. So here's my abridged version.
In any case, I'd really love to hear some opinions on this article from yesterday's TODAY, page 21. It's about the state of women in the music industry and how the female artistes in the Top 40 are Pink, Carrie Underwood, etc. And how singers like Melinda Doolittle, despite their excellent singing abilities, will never reach beyond a certain level in their career because of their weight.
Artistry? Human rights? Femininism?
Bollocks... more like market forces to me.

its good, but to us older folk it seems a little... er.. done to death. we've got our mary kayes, carol kayes, bessie smiths, patti smiths, siouxies and her banshees, nightwishes, lita fords, etc.... u have anything new/fresh to add?
may i suggest a better way? maybe post up a few of your songs, do a short writeup about yourself and your band, influences, etc etc, what makes you and your music stand out?
