my pedalboard is woefully underused at the moment when im playing with my band (i only use my drives, my delay and other stuff hardly get used)
but i definately work on my chops when im playing alone at home and im sure that i'll get to use em live someday
erm..just keep in time la.. just strum once, jump, then when come down finish up the other chords, then run all over.. i dont think running around will affect ur strumming much, ur like gripping onto the chord.. unlike a lead guitarist.. cannot grip much..
lol i think if you want to progress to being a good lead player. you've gotta nail your rhythm playing down first.
about the rhythm guitarist being more handsome/cooler *cough cough*
that really depends la.i'd like to think its 50:50
eg. all american reject's lead guitarist is definately cooler then the rhythm imo
yeah i know, but i was referring to those who are not interested in lead-playing at all. ever come across such players?
I love Rhythm Guitarists...
Sometimes you don't notice a good one.. but you always remember a bad one.. completely throws the groove and tempo off...
Anyway.. side track a bit.. I'm looking for a Rhythm guitarist for a cover band... we're not very young lah.. so if you don't mind playing with Uncles and Aunties then please drop me a message... heh heh... We're aged late 20s to early 40s...
Cheers!
Dude, your age group spans across many different musical genres....you can possibly play stuff from AC/DC to Ratt to Journey to Metallica and Megadeth...of course, the lighter side would see you play Cliff Richard, Beatles, The Pretenders, Elvis to erm...MC Hammer?
Heh... you are right.. we play a lot of older stuff... But what we'd like to play probably the slightly softer sides of GnR, SkidRow. Some Deep Purble, black sabbath. Some Roxette Skunk Anise. Even some Avril Lavigne, some U2....
Anything that will get a crowd going...
We have 1 male and 1 female singer..
