Rhythm Guitarists!

yar true but then frankie can do it cuz his playing the rhythem stuff.. but i tink ray is improving in the rocking out sense.. eventhough he plays leads.. but actually i see tat both of them chnge position.. i mean lead to rhythem.. and vice versa

to be honest.frank isnt in the same league as ray.thats my point of view.you cant see frank play lead stuff like ray.and frank is pretty sloppy at rhythm too which makes it worse.he is just there for the crazy rocked out look.

yup i guess u r correct.. but then gals falls for him rather then for ray as franks i thing got the look and the style.. and he is also the youngest in the group if i recall correctly

yeah the gals will fall for him but the guitar purist will be bashing him.the youngest well its between him and mikey.i dunno.

but mikey is already married.. sooo his more matured i guess.. soo frank is still the young n somehow immature i guess.. but then mcr is mostly on showmanship not to the skills factors.. thats my opinion aniwaes

but actually i guess no larr.. but then most of the time they arr.. aniwaes.. i can see mikey is more matured in terms of appearance and presentation wise in stage.. soo i can see he is certainly more matured.. thats only my opinion lar

There are also those guitarists who can't play lead no matter how hard they try.

I've been trying to play lead for a very long time, but recently decided to stick to rhythm, because I don't seem to be getting anywhere with my practice. Thus, I'm a rhythm guitarist. In actual fact I'm also the main lyrics writer for my band.

i dont think i'll ever become those kinda lead guittarists that play solos that last for minutes!

but i definately wanna play fills in the future

maybe you can start by asking your lead guitarist to let you play some fills for some of your songs

hahaha i love writing lyrics too!

Their rhythm neva fail to inspire and send chills down my spine! and as for solos, hhmm ... still trying my best!

hi,

Rythm is the foundation for lead. if you cant play rythm decently... how to play lead well...?? understand note values, tempo.. is very very important.

anyway i don think there's such a delication of i am a lead guitarist/ rythm guitarist... it's all in your mindset.. always push yourself.. that's what we are here for!!

there ARE lead guitarists who cant play rhythm. and they do a hell of a job playing lead. but i agree that for most people a strong sense of rhythm will contribute to lead-playing, since 99% of your stage time will be spent playingrhythm anyway..

lol COB ftw. i play rhythm too. whats a typical rig for you rhythm guitarists out there? will it be the same as lead guitarists?
