Hi i asked Davis and they do not have any in stock. Any idea where i can get it beside Davis or any of you got extra to let go. I tried searching online and i think only PRS have it.

Thx

Daniel: Yes trying out the PRS switching, u think it's wise or waste of time.

Goose: Where my cables

Thx btw both of you

Yes, I think its a waste of time because.

You can't switch on the fly... think abt it. Stop playing, move hand over switch, grab and twist, make sure you twist to the right setting, then move hand back, play.

Its definately slower than the toggle/blade switch.

You can get the same switching thru different means.

Oh well i thought so too but well meeting Goose soon to get em cables and see what he suggests. Well he actually suggeted that i do a Treble Bleed since i have on 2 conductor wire and this will get me an effect like the Reverend Bass Countour. But i got an offer for a trade with my BKP with gd amount of top up for a PRS HFS and Vintage Bass. So i see what Goose says. Most propably i get a push/push switch to series/parallel or split.

It depends on your style of playing. For example, if you like switching between coil tap and full humbucker, the 5 way rotary offers a faster switching option compared to a 3 way toggle + push pull. And it's accurate too. Let's say you're playing on the bridge and you wanna go coil split on the neck (most difficult form of switching). You can simply use your pinky and twist it all the way to the back full hum and just move it up one click. Entire process takes less than a second when it becomes 2nd-nature. For a 3 way toggle, you will have to switch the toggle from bridge to neck, then pull up on the push pull. Way slower cause you have to manipulate 2 different switches.

Btw, you don't actually operate the 5 way rotary using ur thumb and forefinger. You do it by wrapping your pinky around the knob and twisting, kinda like doing volume swells with a strat.

That said, a 5 way blade switch is still the fastest means of switching but I feel that if you want to go to the middle position it's a little inaccurate.

I rather have differant guitars with differant set up .... all this switchin is nice for bedroom twitchin but ain't gonna work gig'n  unless you do polka  ....but ...but .. you can train doin anything ...

Keep it simple !!

Still itchin ....Go push pull ... nice to keep guitar stock without extra holes so does the rotary ...*secret weapon* Yeah ...that prs switch is perrty sweet !!

:smt017 Cable ?

Dude i am not the cable guy ...i don't work for satrhub !!!

You'll need a compatible reverse polarity neck pickup if you're using a PRS rotary, PRS Vintage Bass, RPs and Dragons will be fine. Any other regular pickup you'll have to flip the magnet or something. Also might want to put the right cap on the volume to get the volume and tone to work like they do on a PRS if that's what you're after popping in the VB and HFS.

Yeah 5-way is a bitch, esp with sweaty hands. Gotta find Dimebag Darrell knobs. The 5-way PRS switching blade Schaller makes is a good solution, hard to find tho.

Oh yes, the super duper megaswitch! Non-uber soldering skillz need not apply. I have enough accidents with patch cables alone... :P

Aiyah... your sg ah.

Dude, i just saw the pictures of your SG. You got the upgrade kit from RS Guitarworks - keep the pots and cap.

No, as spoken... you don't use both vols and neither do you utilise both tone controls.

I suggested:

1 x vol
1 x tone
1 x 2-way mini toggle for series/parallel for BOTH humbuckers
1 x Phase switch (only works when pup selector is in middle position)

Something like that...

Eh, if you dun mind, sell me 1 of the caps leh... i wanna try.
