Problem with Lovepedal Eternity Clone

Hey people, i've recently acquired the above overdrive from a buddy of mine and it has some problem with it. After about 12:00 on the gain knob, theres a noticable squealing sound produced. below 12:00 and the squealing stops. Also, when i sustain the drive for a while, the squealing can be heard too. Any techs out there know what the problem is? Would appreciate your input, and if possible your services in fixing it too

*Oh and it was previously owned by Nailhood. Bro, any idea what happened to it and did you experience this too?*

Last week i had one guy droppin by my place with a clone of the clone .....
The builder did not insulate pcb as it came in contact with the back cover!

woah, sexy and dangerous, in da wrong way

I have the same pedal.

Just grab some tape, remove the back cover, and cover the entire inner surface of the back cover with it, see if that helps.

send to to Sean @ lovepedal and ask for an opinion! :D:D:D

haha funny, later he sue me for IP infringement. LOL

anyway, so some of you guys think its a grounding problem from what i gather? i asked Lynessmy on G4C. He thinks it may be a leaking capacitor or a degraded pot. So which is it ? heh:mrgreen:

there wont be any way to know whats the exact problem unless bringing it to some pedal tech for a look.

if its grounding problem, there might not be any sound at all, since everything is being shorted to ground.

It could be other issues. Look for any tech round here(search the forum) bring to them for a look.

My suggestion is to send it back to him... prolly you will pay for the shipping to Malaysia but ask him to shoulder the expense to bring it back here in Singapore.

Most local pedal builders or even big time manufacturers doesn't pay for any labor if there comes any issues with their pedal.

hey guys, it's just abit troublesome for me right now so i'll KIV sending it to a tech for now.

i've ruled out it being a grounding issue cos i opened it up and insulated the back as suggested and checked that everything's insulated.

i'm leaning more towards it being a capacitor problem cos the squealing sound only comes when i've my tone rolled all the way up or on treble pickup. On neck pickup and when i roll down the tone of my guitar (it shouldn't be my guitars problems cos i tried all my guitars with it ) there's no squealing sound.
