Post-rock

listen to them?? yes and that was back in 2004

oh, and anyway, i listen to slint as well and never really thought it has much resemblance to the soft loud soft loud or vocal less post rock as what some would associate post rock with. And still, the term cant be around without them

Anyway, it's great to see a post-rock thread up here. for a moment i thought the scene here in sg was doomed to the cheesy mainstream and the deafening metal or emocore stuff.

bands that i would recommend?

maybeshewill (i noticed it being mentioned earlier, but no one appeared to really pay attention to it) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qoUB...9AC0D77E&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=16

65daysofstatic (quite a common number already)

this will destroy you (my personal favourite, recommends, threads, leather wings, they move on the tracks of never ending light, there are some remedies worse than the disease)

obstacles( a instrumental math rock band based in Copenhagen, Denmark.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pT4G9eTAtYg

Dorena( a Swedish post rock band, quite for the lighter and yet epic stuff) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSmF5Tbiynw

ah thats all i can think off hand. it actually feels great to meet fellow post-rock enthusiasts.

goodness i can't believe joey started this thread. but yeah joe if u need the albums i can pass them to you. i have all of albums from the artists mentioned above.

ET: Hey jaya, you are an idiot. I have them all as well, and please return my albums after you're done with them.

Joey: after that lend me, awesome. and i didnt start this thread.

P.S. Et insisted that it should be known TO YOU, JAYA, that he started this thread.
