see the thing on his head?

Like one of those items in game, "+1 to Tone". If you wear a Bucket on your head, you'll have a "+2 to Shredding".

Hmm, Bryan..still doubtful? I thought u already made up ur mind?

Jazz in the neck and jb in the bridge would be a good combo.

seriously im not sure of what i want is jazz/jb only good for metal? I thought its good for any genere? I thought alot of ppl who are not metalheads use this combo?

Jazz/jb combo is versatile and can be used for all genres, not only metalheads. In the end, its how u tweak ur amp and effects to get the sound u want.

Do not be afraid of going for the combo u decided on. Its not uncommon for most of us to swap out pickups again if we desire something else.

how about alnicos or 59s do they have a diff?

dude i think i've explained that a number of times already

hear slash's tone to get an idea of what the alnico II pros sound like. hear erm errr. maybe angus young or something, for a rough idea of how the 59's will sound

the 2 pickups have similiar winds, just that one uses and alnico II magnets the other uses alnico V magnets.

alnico 2 will give a warmer tone compared to 5. 5 will give a brighter, slightly scooped mids tone.

Actually the alnico 2 pro has a prominent scooped sound.

Its a low output humbucker, that has high clarity.
It has smooth highs and prominent bass. Good note separation as well.
I will choose it over other humbuckers due to the clarity alone; my style of music.

One thing about it is when doing coil split, its quite weak.

Its on my list of humbuckers to use when building my next guitar.

It does? My APH2 set is very mid heavy... No semblance of scooped tones... At all.

And I've split the coils. Not weak either, but I deliberately chose the outer coils so that could be the key.
