pickup recommendation!

JBs are good if u play metal distortion (think palm mute chugga chugga) at the bridge position but would sound quite dark if played with clean.

erm guys i have another question. a guitars neck isnt supposed to be straight right? normally is bend abit right? if the neck warp can adjust back?

A bit bend as in, neck itself is straight but the angle is not the same as the guitar body? That's normal for Les Pauls. But if the neck itself isn't straight, you have to get it adjusted...

ya something like that. the neck looks straight to me but is not same angle as the guitar body. is the neck made in a way that is supposed to be bend in a little?

It's designed that way on Les Pauls if I'm not wrong... It's a design characteristic. I was quite shocked at the neck angle when I first played a Les Paul but it was really, really comfortable. So yeah, shouldn't be anything wrong with your guitar.

since u sent it to beez if he didnt comment on the neck it should be fine..
he made a lot of fuss when he saw my old burny a long time back lol.
anyway i think the jb is kinda versatile, not just for that chugga chugga tone

so alnico 2 in bridge and 59 in neck or 59 in bridge alnico in neck better? the alnico and 59 are quite similar in terms of sound right? they are low-mid gain distortion except the alnico has a warmer clean right?

hear slash's tone to get an idea of what the alnico II pros sound like. hear erm errr. maybe angus young or something, for a rough idea of how the 59's will sound
the 2 pickups have similiar winds, just that one uses and alnico II magnets the other uses alnico V magnets.

alnico 2 will give a warmer tone compared to 5. 5 will give a brighter, slightly scooped mids tone.

soooooooooooooo..
alnico pro II has a warmer more rounder clean than the 59s right? in terms of distortion, they are about the same as they are low-mid gain right?
