I think its normal for the KH-Jr to go out of tune easily due to the fret length more than anything else. Taking a standard set of 9s, try tuning up to G or A.

The Lapstick is done that way and ... quite interestingly, no one reports tuning instability.

And yes. I wanted to get one for practice sake.

Yes. Very shallow cut in the nut.

maybe that's the fault on the one i tried- it just can't keep in tune...

*had to retune after some bending/ bass note peddling

if i come across one which does stay in tune, maybe i would consider.

my samick V with 19" scale length is tuned to A.
but with say 12 gauge, its possible to tune it lower.

but now i love my martin backpacker, 24" scale length.

heh i aint too sure, but looks like the one i saw on steve vai's board, which was a G force if i'm not mistaken

yes, I have one as well. The silver floorboard item is a TC g-system.

what amp are you using currently?

Im using a Hot Rod Deville 2x12. i have 2 guitars. thought of using my EJ strat on the fender amp & get another tube amp for my MusicMan John Petrucci. So i been looking around for amps. Still waiting for a response on a Hughes & Kettner though, so i thought i check yours out.
