but but but........ you got it at such a good price. It's probably comparable to cash converters hahahahaha!

Yes, yes, it's a good price... But do you know HOW MUCH I lost on my Slash???

Oh well... the price to pay for realising a childhood dream, i guess...

Nah... You want the Holmes? I'm thinking a set of Skatterbrane Benwabranes for this one...

I guess I'd have to pass on that. I don't have a LP at the moment.

Btw, I tried your LP back at the store. very resonant & I really liked it. I asked Kelvin how much but he said sold to Lionel -.-'". I didn't know it was an R7 until I checked for the date. Have you done an A/B test with your swiss cheese :D?

HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!! I knew it!!!! I knew I had to take it before any of you guys get your greedy mits on this one... Everyone denys interest. But c'mon man... If I didn't lock it down, I know someone within our group of friends would have snapped it up! Hahahaha...

I did an AB test not only with the Swiss Cheese, but my Chambered Standard as well. The R7 has this low end growl to ur. The tones are denser, and the sustain is madness. The standard is more airy, and more organic sounding. The R7 is just a huge fist of tone hitting you square in the face. I think the tones needs to be sculpted a bit more... RS lits will go in, as will a set of branes.

the sustain is madness.

Yeah, that was it! that was the exact character that I was referring to! I was fiddling with it at the corner and didn't have the chance to plug it in but I knew it was definitely going to sound good. when Kelvin told me the price I was like, wah lao eh, I should come down more often now!!

so it's LPs > Strats now? ever since you heard that skatterbrane clip, you were a different person haha! anyway, its a good buy man but I'd always be waiting =D *hint*

Heard??? Dude... I MADE that clip lah! Hahaha... The one I heard that I went mad over was the Sheptones one... That's why the Sheptones are going into the Schroeder...

I just sent Rod Kinkade of Skatterbranes an email cursing him... Believe it or not, my standard, with the skatterbranes still sounds better than the stock Custom... But lemme squeeze a set of branes in there, and...

Waiting??? Erm... which part of "childhood dream" did you not understand? Hahahah!!!

pai se my bad. I was referring to the Hotal California clip. tough fight man. the A/B wouldn't be completely fair without both guitars having the same pots. I salute you for your patience. its going take quite a significant amount of work!

dang, I guess waiting is no longer an option. I hope you to fall in love with some LP traditional or something  hahaha!

WAAAAAAH SEXY MAN. An LP Custom is my new target. Damn brah......may i know the price?

Can't share the price lah... But take note. This isn't just an LP custom... It's an R7... (I know looks can be deceiving, but there are huge differences between the 2...)

If you can tackle the R7 neck, I'd suggest going for one rather than a regular production weight-relieved custom. (yep, the Gibson Custom Shop Customs are also weight-relieved... Except the R7s...)

Heheh..

I don't like R7s because they don't offer bursts!

I'd take an R9 over an R7 anyday.

BUT, I'm a fat neck person..

Congrats on your new acquisition Whitestrat!

May I know whats happening with all your EBMMs at the moment?

*epic facepalm*

Dude... They're 2 entirely different guitars lah... Even this R7 is not the same as a Goldtop R7. The lack of the maple top? The Ebony fretboard? No burst is made like this lah... It's a very different sound (as I'm discovering first hand now) That's why I said this is not the same as a production Custom.

The Custom Shop non-R7 Custom is maple topped, and weight-relieved... The ebony fretboard is there, but the necks on those customs are tiny... And for some reason, they don't sound as nice... I've tried them before... Maybe mahog/maple/ebony/57 classics isn't a nice combo? I dunno... Tuners are also different. finish also much thinner on the R7 than on the Custom.

The correct answer for the R7 vs R9 question is: I'll take BOTH!

May I know whats happening with all your EBMMs at the moment?

Still there... Still being played. Though I'm slowly downsizing bit by bit... Hahahaha...
