er... just to clarify..its not 2.1k. its 2.6

btw to that guy who ordered the jp. you will ENJOY musicman guitars man. its a blast.

Its actually S$2562. That JP that i ordered is actually a Pearl Blue with matching headstock only, no piezo. the pic that i posted is to jus u guys an impression of the color. Regret not ordering with piezo, but nvm.

wow..after seeing that..makes me wanna g.a.s for a OLP JP sig

hopefully i could find one thats cheap enough...and thank god i remebered that i ahve to buy f-spaced pups..BTW..are the f-shaped pups more expensive?

I don't think F-SPACED pickups are expensive. I tink its around $130++. I've purchased Dimarzio pickups b4. around this price, forgot liao. But i believe EMGs are more xx. They are active pickups though.

I don't think Davis is selling anymore OLP JP models. the last time i went there is a few mths ago to buy strings. Didn't c OLP JP.

Wat type of music do you play? Metal, Punk, Rock, If you play metal on EMGs, Its gona rock u man! Jus listen to Zack Wylde & the Slayer guys. I personally use Dimarzio's Air Norton on neck & Steve's Special on bridge. Im more on instrumental music like Vai, Satch & Petrucci. I've never tried Seymour Duncan though.

f-spacing is on the dimarzio faq. i don't really want to paste and plagarize the text thou. it's under the topic: f-spacing, standard spacing.

the OLP version is an acquired taste, it's merely a visual representation.

i dont mind the OLP headstock...i dont need a piezo...althought i wish it had a locking bridge trem...maybe i'l order the Tremol-no like what shredcrow said...i think the most common for petrucci setup would be Steve's special for neck and Tone Zone for bridge..

i have a OLP JP, and it feels quite ok...except when you change strings, can be a bit of pain in the ass, i cant explain any better..

i've not played the original before, but for the OLP i strongly suggest you change the pups, coz it sucks.

now i have installed dimarzio Breed for neck and bridge, very Vai sound, yea, nice..

I worked like a bull for one whole month for them!!

hey charlestheguitarist u might wanna take note that on petrucci's ibanez models he used steve's special for the bridge and air norton for the neck. neva recalled him using tone zones.

anyway ive tried the ebmm jp model. its til now the best guitar ive actually tried. im still stumped at how mm makes the necks of their guitars. its so slim and shred friendly and has no sharp edges and the finish is amazing. i doubt it will ever get sticky after hours of playing. i didnt get to try out the piezo on the guitar. but id say the guitar is practically flawless.

ill prob start saving up to get the ebmm jp7 now. :D
