hmm..i understand ur concern abt the maintainence thing on tube amp...im jus giving our frend here something to try on...he might nt like it or buy it after he try..but its all up to him to decide...no offence bro..

no lah... no offense taken, but replying in context is important... i mean serious replies lah... not the off topic replies hahaha.... off topic replies no need context one.

he's a beginner, so we must recommended versatile beginners gear. Valbee is a specialized piece of gear.

versertile go for the modellers like the cube30 like sub recommended.

although i prefer the pathfinder simple no frills amps that cheap and sounds pretty decent.

Hey guys, check out this eye candy, Daphon

Pedals as follow: Delay (white), Super Overdrive (yellow), Distortion (orange), Phaser (green), Super Chorus (Blue), Compression Sustainer (navy blue), Heavy Metal (Black)

My friend brought in an initial batch of these low cost pedals to test them out. Seems quite promising, as the sound IMO is pretty good considering the price. I guess some of you guys have seen the same batch at GC being sold at between 60 to 80 bucks each. I have already placed an order myself for the next incoming batch.

Description: Modelled after classics, 3 knobs functions dead easy to use, tough plastic shell exterior, top access in/out/9V jacks for maximum squeeze into pedal board, solid construction, low cost but good sound.

My personal review: (cheapest) Distortion, much less gritty and more warm than the DS1, easy to get sweet spots, bass response better too. Only con is that this pedal suck tone in bypass mode, others sound more transparent.

Heavy Metal, full of crunch and drive, not unlike MT2. Easy to dial sweet spots, from fuzz to chugging metal to screaming demon. Very decent fidelity, response is not lost like some heavy distort pedals. Quite transparent bypass.

Delay, easy to use, short delays like reverb efx, mid delays for solo works, long delay for artistic sound, Time/Feedback/Depth control straight forward. Get the job done. Only thing is that the feeback can overload (non stop)when dial is set past 3oclock. But can work to your advantage for creative sound.

Others I not yet review, anyone want to review them can always PM me to come try try, no need shy. That's unless sold away. Heehee... cheers.

Yes, there is also exactly the same effects in a metal casing too, cost difference is only about 15-20bucks.

heh... i've seen original TS5 in metal casing before. should be the same lah!

I'd say more like TS9... heehee.

See for yourself.

I think the plastic version quite good construction and the PCB solder wave is done properly, even flow and shiny silver. Also another point is that the component placements are easily accessable and not too compact, parts inside are common too. I'd say that this is a very good candidate pedal range for modding, Mr modifier.

ok this one never seen before!

the TS5 that I've seen is exactly like the potato bugs one but the body is aluminium.

come to pedal parts, how was bad monkey OD fair against Boss OD3?
i hear alot good brand n review regarding OD, so kind of confuse
In what order you guys will get your pedals?
overdrive, distortion, chorus, delay, reverb etc? so i can have some ideas to know how to build my collections slowly......
still, many thanks man. You guys are great :D

i've got the 60's fuzz which is a outright copy of the EH BMP, tubescreamer and echomachine.

the echomachine is a great unit. hunted it all the way from SG to KL Bentley. Bought on the spot, price secondary and I was still a semi student then... wah lao... now where is that pedal now... dammit...

you have achieve the highest level of attainment where by no matter how well a echomahine is, it still cant cook rice and thus given up the desire to keep it with you physically.
