Wanted to give this a try, but gave up altogether cos sian 1/2 at how the solo at the middle is so %#$@^! complicated without an FR!!!!

The war now isn't so short...! I've completed the last part of the solo. Used the 'pneumatic' trill method in place of the tremolo bar, wonder what you all think...?

you must be referring to something like the Digitech Whammy Pedal? It's in the storeroom, but I don't think it can create anything close to the dynamics of the whammy part of the song...but I really don't know...I haven't used it for years!
