Dear fellow musicians,

applications for sessions 5 - 10 is open.
Thank you for the support you guys gave for the earlier sessions [session1 - 4] yeah.
you guys rock my socks.

About Sessions! :
Sessions is a weekly gig meant to provide new bands with a platform to share their music with the rest of us peeps..

Sessions! will be held at IJ Studios , Eunos Ave3, Gordon Industrial Building, Lvl 6.

there'll be
- no auditions
- no amount of cash bands have to fork oout
- no restrictions for music played
- no frills whatsoever.

bands will only be required to sell 10 tix per band.
[ also to ensure u wont be playing to an empty crowd, sadly =( ]

bcoz the shopping centre management were pussyfied and were disapproving of the gig being held there i think.

during sessions 2 i saw the security guard along with with a few others walking towards the venue then talked to people inside fyewerkz.

anyways, for bands participating in sessions!, my tip is bring 20 friends or more. it'll be fun that way. if every band does that, it'll complete the gig altogether!

buk, i wasnt around in sessions 3, how's the crowd?

its for new bands what do you expect.. cant be sold out gigs on the first gog right :wink: even popular bands played so sucky audiences at first. stick to it ary. failure or not, this would be the stepping stone to alot of bands

Ary and his crew is trying to bring up local talents up and here you are discriminating the local scene??.. not every gig has full house or full of great bands you knoe!..Come on..give that guy a break..He's sweating out all his time and cash but this is how you thank him??...my2 whut typical singaporean are you???...We can't always lean on popular bands like WGB RONIN ELECTRICO and stuff like that...THey were once like us...SO Ary here is givin us the opputunity to be like them..I'm not saying this to suck up buy HEY!!! He's doing all local upcoming band a favour..And i did enjoy myself at SESSIONS!!...

YA! I AGREE!!! DON'T EVER TALK NEGATIVE BOUT SOMEONE OR ORGANIZERS WHO TRY TO HELP YOUNG BANDS RISE & EXPOSE THEMSELVES TO THE MUSIC SCENE! THIS SESSIONS GIGS IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR BANDS TO START CLIMB UP THE STAIRS BEFORE THEY FLY HIGH. WITHOUT THINGS LIKE THIS, PEOPLE DON'T KNOW THESE NEW BANDS. THESE GIGS MADE THE BANDS GO ON. I REALLY THANK ARY (BUK) & THE GANGS FOR THEIR GREAT EFFORT & THEIR HELP. YOU GUYS ROCK!!!

hey how to get EXPOSURE when someone is the last band and everyone's gone away? a friend of a friend's band went thru that thing. they like freaking came at 4 to support others but others just went after their set, this must change liao~
