As the title suggest, I need help in ordering from online shops. I'm planning to get a guitar from there. Anyone does it before, care to share on how to do it? Thanks in advance.

I seem to have a problem with inputting the billing address. It seems like they only accept US billing address. Will using paypal solve my problem?

Thanks man. I read the thread, so what did u do in the end? Did u get it from musicianfriends? The billing address can't be changed to singapore address. Haiz, I think paypal can work. Any advice?

Nah.. My friend recommended a different source : Tom Lee music in Hong Kong

But I decided that I wasn't ready for a Gibbie yet anyways, so I'm just biddin my time now!

haiz, I wanna get a strat from them. But then, it is out of stock now. Also have to wait... plus I don't know whether I should order now or later on when they have stock.

Have you tried PM brendon and ask if he can bring in the strat you wanted?Or if you prefer musiciansfriend i suggest you use the "Contact Us" and email them with your doubts/queries or you can call their International number : (801) 501-8110 (24 hours)....

I already have a vpost account and will be using it. I even applied for a paypal account. It's just that I need to clear the air on the procedure from ordering from musicianfriend. I contacted them but their customer service operater are not as good as the other international community out there. While asking them about billing address and stuff, they wanted me to give them a call. I think I'll resort to that if it doesn't work out.

Got a reply from em

Any idea who have successfully bought things from them? And how was it like...

you cant get them to send internationally.. the free shipping is only applicable to local address ...so first of all register with Vpost(USA).
give MF your Vpost oreagon address. they will send there

An interesting thing to note: if you're shipping to addresses in New Jersey and Nevada, there'll be a sales tax slapped on.

Still, always good to write in and ask. These American businesses also have a live chat option, in which you can talk to the customer service direct. Well, some of them, anyway.

Saves a heckload of trouble with the waiting time of the email response, and cost of calling them.

Thanks. I've sent them a mail about billing address being in singapore and shipping address in oregon. Hope they get back to me soon. Meanwhile, anyone ever got musicianfriend's stuff through Vpost? How do you by past the US billing address issue?

Thanks for the inputs guys.

I think Vpost has got this service in which they pay using their credit card to bypass the entire address thing.

Because it's their credit card with their address, they won't have any problems with the billing/delivery address.

It's called the concierge service, i think, and you have to pay them 5% of the entire cost of the invoice if you're planning to use the concierge service. [Edit] On top of the 7% GST we have to pay here.

Hope it helps,
Cheers.

I'm still in talks with musicianfriends. Apparently their email response is quite fast. I'm seeking a solution from them as well as VpostUSA. Hope all this work out well.

Here's somw help:

billing adress: your own house address.

delivery address: the oregon one.

usually their local shipping is slow, depend on if you want to upgrade to an express service.

but Vpost is fast man.
