I went back and read TYMC's reply, but I couldnt spot any factual misunderstanding on my part, care to enlighten me?

Personally, I dont find this bo liao can?

If so happen, you are having similar problems to the TS, and you are considering which guitar shop to approach for assistance, in that case, will this whole issue be of any interest to you? Alright, even if you do not have such an issue with your instruments, but let's say you are a frequent patroniser of TYMC and all your lovely guitars are handled at TYMC, will this still be 'bo liao'? For me, I will be concerned, irregardless of whether the TS or TYMC is at fault here, because I had, and very likely in the future, approach TYMC regarding my guitar needs and wants.

Yes, you can say that this issue probably doesnt involve me directly, or like right now, or that I am just a busybody, but I find it wiser to learn from others' experiences now, so that if the same thing happen to me in the future, I will know better. For example, 1 thing I learn out of this is that it appears that TYMC has limited capacity in doing fret work.

If you find it bo liao, you dont contribute, can?

Was shock to see this thread at home page. Have known CK for quite sometime now though i dont play guitar. He started off from just an online shop to having a shop front now. I have utmost confidence in their service and honesty. Anyway did I overlook, the thread starter seem to vanish. If he's really so piss, he should be following this thread. Will appreciate if he can come forward to at least clarify ya?

Chill guys, im sure everybody knows its some misunderstanding that's not properly spelt out by thread starter.

PS: CK is few years my senior and im in my 30's. If wanna call that young, im ok with it...WAHAHAHA...

so assuming that we go along with your story,

you are telling us that you sent your guitar for servicing when you didn't even know what the problem was and couldn't tell for yourself what needed to be done. after that you discovered that the service wasn't to your liking, i.e. you made the wrong choice of shop to have your serviced. after that you took your and asked what essentially are tymc's COMPETITORS for a review of the job they did. and then having acknowledged that you kena conned or ripped off (possibly for a few rounds) partly because of your lack of knowledge you came to soft to make it public, hoping to achieve ____???? and instead of going back to tymc to have them fix what, in your expert opinion, was a job poorly done, you flamed the shop online, eliminating any possibility of them making it up to you?

anyway page 5 of a FLAME thread alr... i didn't know such things are allowed. tymc should pay for a sponsored forum, then maybe they can get more protection

tymc do pay for advertising banner on SOFT.

If you read through the 5 pages, I am sure you see more good things said about tymc than negative stuff. That is more valuable than a sponsored forum. If you don't know what that means, email me. :)
 
As usual another one of those one sided stories about defaming a shop.

The bottom line is even if a shop has served you poorly instead of tarnishing the reputation of the shop you should go back to the shop and clarify the problem with the owner unless youre telling me the owner will kick you in the ballz and throw you out which in this case i dont see TYMC ever doing such a thing.

To the TS i sincerely hope you can come out and clarify things and rectify the damage done before this spirals out of control with excessive flaming. Your subjective account has left out several valuable points which TYMC has explained already in the previous page leaving you in a not so optimum position.

If you thought that by starting this thread you could either vent your frustration, warn others not to visit the place, you are sorely mistaken.

As seen previously there are so many TYMC supporters whom have faith in CK and Augustine ( I myself included ).

Not to mention u made a personal attack on the staff there saying they dont know nuts about stuff. If you are in such a position to say that, you have to know more than them to comment in such a manner no? If you did wtf is the point of going to other shops after that to ask another opinion if you yourself already knew so much? Sense the irony?

Since you left out so many points maybe itd be best to offer an apology to everyone here and in particular TYMC for the potential drop in customers and to James for the waste of bandwith you have caused.

TS must be some major n00b and easily got influence by anyone and everyone. listen to other ppl and wrong thing done to his guitar and get angry that he got conned and kpkb here.

the TYMC guys are simply amazing. no doubt. Ck and Augustine, one of the best customer service ever.

@ TS, learn to tell the whole side of the story........ epic PHAIL.

lol yeah =D but u get my point ah, he was just using stomp as an example. we try to keep things sane here..

Back to topic, +1 to TYMC, -1 to threadstarter. I had a pretty good impression of TYMC through my friends' experience with them so, +1 more ^_^
 
I don't know about TYMC, they seemed like awesome dudes the one time I went there to look for a 2X12 cab. I felt loved when I entered the shop.

I have way more interesting stories about guitar repairs which will make some people cringe. I bought a guitar about 3 - 4 years ago from one of the biggest guys(ok, the biggest) in the music instrument business in singapore(not yamaha) and it was in terrible condition. TERRIBLE condition. But I was a noob so I didn't know much. After setting it up the trem still had problems, and I headed back to the shop where the shop assistant graciously told me that my guitar was screwed and that there wasn't anything they could do bout it. It's like he knew personally that I was screwed over, but didn't do anything to have it changed or anything. I just got a bad guitar. The end. Now that I think back, should have complained to CASE or something. But it's ok, I've moved from that to bigger and better things.
