not everything is so clear cut like you said. you can approach the so called nicer one, but it can end up he task his junior (the asswipe) to serve you. of course you can find the nicer one again but at this stage, do you still feel like it? that's what happened to me.

i do not have such problems at most shops too. in fact this is the 1st real bad incident i've encountered in a guitar shop. even the badly bashed "D" which i go to alot, none of them were ever rude to me and were at least polite and responsive to my queries.

this ain't bitching. i just want to know if it's the norm, because i've not encountered such thing at any other shop not even the much bitched about D.
 
hmm, just feedback to them if they hvae a feedback form thingy, email them if they have an email for feedback or via forums if they have one on soft xD

and yes i agree "paying before you try" is as good as just buying that thing already innit.
 
one of my cousins from malaysia,i remembered,nearly got into a serious fist fight with a salesman. But it is not about music products,but other thing. It got so ugly that he was pointing finger right into the face and shouting obsenities.

hm guys i remember a few months back i was with my friend who wants to get a burny LP @ plaza singapura. i dont know but seriously i think that the shop is overstaffed. like 5-7 salesman squeezing around the counter and chatting when there are many customers inside. so my friend asked if he could try. "okay" replied one of them and continued chatting. THEN here comes the part, my friend was playing and trying for quite awhile then they started giving comments. not only they didnt serve him, but they shouted among themselves "wah play so long ah". i was like WTH then i asked my friend to leave. oh well, they think they are cool kids
 
hahaha. i thought only sim lim guys do that.

but seriously, i think yamaha tampines mall is the worst. it seems that those sales kids don't want u to touch their geetars! i mean, it's on display man! why can't i touch it man???

and they think they are f**kin superior to anyone that walks into the shop.

the only job where the customer is always wrong is in BARTENDING!!!
