Maybe we can start with the fact that we are still unmolested and taken very seriously even though we are a little red dot.

Then we can go on to how the SAF has grown from nothing to a world class, full-fledged fighting force.

I have served under and interacted with some of the most brilliant and charismatic people in the army. They are leaders in every sense of the word who lead by example, and who know what they are doing. I am fully prepared and confident to abide by their leadership during wartime.

Then if you would like, you can also throw in the perennial fishing-village to modern cosmopolitan story that we are already very familiar with. Many things can be said about Singapore and the PAP, but no one can deny that we have good leaders.

So, Van_Halen,
since we are talking about the military, how was your experience with our leaders in the SAF? Aside from your NSF 3SGs and 2LTs.


And if possible, because I am a bit slow and I simply do not see the logical link to this statement and the issue at hand, please elaborate:

No I didn't mean scrapping the army, I said compulsory national service. But of course, I am aware of reasons to counter this. And I only said scrapping compulsory national service isn't as stupid as what this woman is displaying, not that I advocate it.

We NSFs go thru sh!t so you other people don't have to, and you wanna talk so lowly of us? We are Singaporeans, we are civil servants, and we pay adult fare. Shouldn't we have priority on PUBLIC buses?

Who are you to "suggest" a ban? You can't even speak proper, standard English, and you're "suggesting" a ban? Take my suggestions instead:

• Kill your daughters so they won't be as dumb as you when they grow up
• Go brush up on your English if you really are a Singaporean
• If you're a Chinese national, do us a favour and go back to your country
