From the way you've phrased you previous post, the impression I got was that of blatant disregard to what Impiety and Firebrands have done by saying that Astroninja will TAKE OVER both bands, in terms of their profile views and song plays. Whats up with that? Was that even necessary? These bands have paid their dues and are reaping the rewards of their hardwork. THAT IS WHAT TICKED ME OFF. I understand you are a close friend of astroninja, but that did not give you any right to disrespect what Impiety and Firebrand have done.
I dont really like to give my point of view to situations like this, but your last post was rude.

I love Impiety! One of the most awesome metal bands in Singapore IMHO. And my friend from Finland has heard of them too!
And many members of Firebrands have quit their jobs or sacrificed a lot for what they have, and I think that is fully admirable and respectable.

So I would appreciate it if my band's name wasn't pulled into this nasty mix between you two.

Now now;

OVERTAKE and TAKE OVER have very different meanings. If entity A overtakes entity B by any forms of measurement, it does not discount the talent or ability of entity B in any way.

Would I be insulting Asafa Powell's dedication and hard work if I said that Usain Bolt was going to overtake him in the 100m?

Would it be disrespectful to the United States if I said that China's economic growth is going to exceed its own?

I can say with absolute honesty and conviction that I have immense respect and love for both Impiety and Firebrands, and I don't believe that I am insulting them in any way.

I personally really enjoyed their set with Vertical Rush at *scape Labs- their bass & drum groove was tighter than any other local band I've caught so far.

dear fellow soft members, i plead with u.

at times, u have to look beyond the super hardcore level of english being used by some, who naturally are nice pple but more importantly, identify the instigators amongst the crowd.

these are the clowns who love to sit back and watch free show while two pple 'fight' in the forum.

they may be a BBC or CNN reporter, but this doesn't mean that they can flee the scene after creating havoc.

I don't know.
In my honest opinion,
I think Visa was just making a comment, there was no malice involved.
And dearxarson did somewhat overreact to the comment, but he was just trying to raise a concern he felt strongly about which is his entitlement.The 'havoc' that Krist was referring to started upon his reaction to visa and visa's strong reaction to his comment.

But that's just my opinion. I don't really have a strong view for or against either of them. I think they both had good intentions. I am just making clear that Visa's views do not reflect mine or anyone else in my band, that's all.

But if they want to exert their point of views, it's their right to. I don't think either of them have gotten out of hand or disturbed anyone else.

And Krist, we know you're not the type to flee From what I recall, you encourage 'meeting up to settle things' from a previous post of yours That is indeed very manly. We should all strive to be like you................... (trails off). This is a forum, these things do happen. If you want a big happy family, go visit Santa Claus. But even big happy families argue sometimes, so just let them argue and I'm sure things will turn out fine with or without your moral preachings.

On a side note, which is actually the note of this topic before it got sidetracked , I thought the B-Quartet launch gig was supreme! While watching it, I think everyone was going "Oh, my, goodness!". Great musical skills there with a very well represented video collage that went with it.

And also, I loved the Rivermaya show when they performed with Electrico at Bar None a few years ago. I'm constantly amazed by them (with their old singer). That was super fun and emotionally intense.
