reason for the 1st assault...the MP, I believed, is the chairman of Sg Taxi Drivers Union..so apparently, the perpetrator wanted the MP's help to reinstate his taxi vocational license which was revoked by LTA..
even after appeals to the LTA by the MP, the perpetrator was not reinstate and the old man blamed the MP for not doing enough..
speaking from experience...some MPs are very grassroots based and walked/worked well within the grounds..they are more accessible to the public and as such,there are more likelihood that incidents as such are more likely to occur...
