Liverpool FC Thread

Apart from that stubborn, inept and clueless manager, L'pool is also sibeh suay this season...never-ending injuries, financial problems, problematic owners, etc. Oh well...only can hope next season be better...with new rich Arab owners...and managed by Hiddink or Capello. 8)

As a consolation for this season, L'pool is going to flush Manure down at Old Toilet.

Fantastic game tonight.
It was interesting to see Kuyt making the first move to be the new regular goal scorer.
Best moment of the night was when Knight got totally wrong footed by Kuyt and his tattoo on his arm "Cow" sure had a good laugh.
Ngog impressed me this time around, hardworking guy that seems to be proving his worth while torres is out.
Great game this time around.

SINCE NO BPL THIS WEEKEND - JUST SOMETHING TO REMEMBER THE LAST MATCH BY ......

AND A LITTLE SONG FOR YA ...

Here's a song dedicated to pool .... sung to the tune of that Latin favourite: WANTAMERAH ...

It's called "ONE PRATA KOSONG"

Chorus
One prata kosong, we gave them one prata kosong.
One prata kosong, we fed them one prata kosong.
One prata kosong, we rembat one prata kosong
One prata kosong, they makan one prata kosong.

Verse 1
You know that pool wont have no money.
Unless they play in the CL.
We know that pool wont have no money
Gerrard & torres will they sell.
So they came to play at Emirates.
And we gave them what we know well ....

Chorus
One prata kosong, we gave them one prata kosong.
One prata kosong, we fed them one prata kosong.
One prata kosong, we rembat one prata kosong
One prata kosong, they makan one prata kosong.

Verse 2
Fabregas, he unlocked their defence.
Reina was left with no chance.
Babel tried shooting from distance
Almunia for once had safe hands.
They couldnt stop our Tom Rosicky
Abu Diaby wrecked their plans...

Chorus
One prata kosong, we gave them one prata kosong.
One prata kosong, we fed them one prata kosong.
One prata kosong, we rembat one prata kosong
One prata kosong, they makan one prata kosong.

cmon - everbody ....

One prata kosong, we gave them one prata kosong.
One prata kosong, we fed them one prata kosong.
One prata kosong, we rembat one prata kosong
One prata kosong, they makan one prata kosong

"We won it in Wembley

We won it in Paris

In '77 and '84 it was Rome

We've won it four times, we've won it four times

In Istanbul we'll win it five times

We won it five times, we won it five times

In Istanbul we won it five times"

and since Champions League coming up next, we'd thought we would like to remind you of this:

YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE!!

So I've heard that singtel's taking over all Champions League rights from Starhub.
Is the UEFA cup also taken away from Starhub? I can't seem to find any channel that's showing the game against Unirea something something.

yeah bro ... get singtel mio - they sapp everything ..BPL, CL, mickey moue cup - all alo sapu

U WUD NEED IT To watch pool in Europa league next season

"ALL sapu" does not include world cup. that time the 2 telco pakat (competition my ass) to bring it in, make a hell of a noise that fifa charge them 100 million, now fifa lower their demands to 40 million suddenly all 'buah kecut'

anyway, liverpool is wtf. if the players cockup, u cant blame them cos its not as though the manager is doing a damn good job. but if the manager cocks up, u cant blame him if the owners will neither give him more money nor sack him. so screw the owners. but i think liverpool in this state cannot be saved, need to rebuild top to bottom. and i am a liverpool fan but i hate carragher to the core. in benitez fashion, i think barcelona are 'thinking of buying' him.

but benitez must be sacked. it's not whether he is good or whether sacking him will solve everything. it is about accountability.

anyway i think rafa is a completely different man now. i mean just LOOK at this photo

LIVERPOOL FANS, DO YOU RECOGNISE YOUR MANAGER???

Totally agree with you. The whole team needs to be rebuilt. Rafa is still riding his high wave of bringing back the Eurpoean Cup & it's about time he leaves. You can tell by his body language during interviews that he doesn't have the passion for this club anymore. And Liverpool FC is about PASSION. A quality manager needs to be brought in to make a real challenge.

As for MIO TV, we can watch Liverpool take part in the Europa Cup next season & maybe win it someday perhaps. But some people subscribe to MIO to watch their club take part in CL & hope that they can even lift that trophy at least once... ;)

Ahh fact is Liverpool aint getting any manager. UNLESS Benitez joins another club else he would have 15 million pounds in his pocket and 15 million less for Liverpool. This is probably a lose-lose situation if you look at it that way.
But imo, stick w the manager. He has served us well. Put aside these turbulent times and give him our back. We'll get results pretty soon.
What Liverpool need now frankly is a reuptable second striker to take torres shoes when he gets injured. Each time he goes out, he comes back w his fitness depleted and he just cant click it w gerrard.

Yea, only can hope that Rafa gets his mind out of the boardroom antics & focuses on getting back to winning ways. Latest news is that Juve wants Rafa & Pool is looking at either Martin O' Neill or Alex McLeish to replace him. If Rafa stays till his contract runs out, the Reds have to buck up & get the results. They need at least TWO more quality strikers to back up Torres & sadly, the hole left behind by Alonso has never been filled. Hope the upcoming World Cup brings some new quality talent into Pool soon...

I think the problems with the club run deeper than the loss of Alonso. Something tells me that someone is screwing around in the dressing room, perhaps some boardroom member. Either way, now Torres wants to leave if they don't sign more top-class players. I see only 1 solution now: the American owners have to GET THE HELL OUT. Pardon my language, but they've carried this circus long enough.

IMHO the problems on the pitch probably correlate to burnout from last season, injuries and poor form. Its just that all 3 events haven't coincided, but have been spread out over the duration of this season thus far. For example, burnout was at the beginning of the season. Then injuries set in. Now its poor form. With the EPL so friggin' crazy this season, its no wonder we're in this position. However, i do feel that the presence of Alonso would've helped, although Benitez has done himself no favours by not allowing those who can make a difference (cue Babel, Aquilani) play often. In that respect i feel he needs to stop being so stubborn. Give those 2 lads a sustained run in the side. We've seen what they can do. Aside from that, we need a star winger, left or right doesn't matter (Jesus Navas, Angel Di Maria come to mind.) Failing that, at least a rising talent (Eden Hazard, Eljero Elia). We need matchwinners.

That was MUCH better against Portsmouth. The creativity, flair, daring, freedom of expression. Hopefully this carries on into the rest of the season. Its about time to be frank.

A very good performance & result from the Reds last night. We still need to pick up all the points we can get esp with man city dropping 2pts against Sunderland. At least this will be a confidence booster for the team with Lille coming over on thurs & of course, man u this sunday. Good to see Torres hitting the back of the net again & with Aquilani getting his first goal in a Reds shirt. Keep the form up, lads!!

Yeah. It was a great finish from Aquilani especially, squeezing it past Ashdown at the near post. Let's hope this can spark a run of form similar to last season's, where we thumped Man U at OT and went on to finish strongly.
