lol yeah, the genres, not all are right but for most of us, we get the idea.
besides, what's POP PUNK ANYWAY? lol. Punk's ideas were supposedly OPPOSED to pop culture on many levels. and then there's HARDCORE music. will include a few other undergroundish bands to level out the field a little bit too
and if it's free, it's free. if you feel that it's a little saturated, then there's always television at home hee hee. Besides, I think it's pretty cool that a mainstream corporation is willing to promote local music as much as indie is into promoting indie. we're always saying there's not enough support. now at least there's a better amount of it. so really, i think for now, the more is the merrier!
as for why no astreal, there's also no <insert>, and no <insert>, and if it was possible to put everyone inside, if there was time, and sentosa suddenly wants to rent out its land for FREE ( i don't mind leh if they did!) i'm pretty sure someone would hee hee. but THAT would be pretty overkill indeed!

Hey guys!
Noticed there aren't any pop-rock bands or power-pop rock bands playing for this year? What happened to PeePShoW or Typewriter, and Electrico? Comic Strip and 3-Dash-1 and King Kong Jane? I think these are bands that will make the concert a bit more varied but still in the mood of ROCKING OUT!!!

The gig starts at 12noon all the way to 3am, before the DJ kicks in, and the booze too. hur hur. there's actually a WEDDING taking place at the same time for an hour or so right next to the gig. One guess which event will overpower the other by sheer noise? lol
And i would think there are more pop rock bands than metal bands siah.
there will be modifications to the lineup slightly. working things out now. it's a pretty crazy undertaking.
there MIGHT be a possibility of another American coming in. waiting on the music label to confirm first before we make the announcement
james --> actually that'd be a great idea siah. can make it a SOFT BBQ at the same time. then when the bands are done, they can drop by too. are there BBQ pits there?

lol. i'd LOVE to have more metal bands trust me. I'm thinking of trying to add more into the fray hopefully. there are 2 hardcore bands performing already, wearing masks and all lol

Baybeats was in early Aug. This one will be on Nov 17th. If anything, I'm thinking we don't have enough kickass gigs in between to tide us through man

I'm involved more of an organizer than with Astroninja 
u know how the media has mostly good intentions to promote local music, but most of them (not all) are kinda clueless as to how to go about it because they were never really a part of it. just hoping to slowly change that perspective gradually.
