Les Paul or Strats??

I DONT know if this thread had been made before so i started it

how many of you think LPs or Strats body is better or nicer e.t.c??

as in

1.looks.
2.shaped
3.tone.
4.neck...


My opinion is i started to like the LP. because of the neck because i prefer acoustic guitar-like neck as my fingers,hand is abit disabled

les paul for me.

1.looks.-both are sexy
2.shaped-both quite shapey
3.tone.-les paul. Strat for the twang...
4.neck...-les paul necks are known to be quite fat. I like the strat neck better cause i'm not a fan of lacquered necks. If no choice then nevermind la.

I'm a strat person myself.

Looks - definitely the strat.

Shaped - strat again. i love the way its so easy to play standing and sitting. when i play les pauls sitting, it feels like the guitar is gonna slip off. even for mahogany+humbuckers sound, i'm on the lookout for schecter c-1 "strat-ish" kind of shape.

Tone - very subjective. Different types of sound calls for different guitars. Overall i choose strat cause i like the single coil tone more. Plus, strats are alot more versatile than les pauls. i like the way alder complements both single coils and humbuckers. i don't really like the combination of mahogany and single coils, though mahogany and humbuckers are awesome.

Neck - Definitely the strat. I hate les paul necks.

Tonal wise can't compare strat to LP. But I'd take a strat over a LP anyday.

yeah,that's true..the construction are different..

not only construction, but tone, feel, everything. both strats and les pauls are awesome. it's all just personal preference.

hi guys,i noticed that most of the renowned guitarists doesnt use LPs. Well,those that i know of. Why? hehe,but i prefer strat styled,looks freaking classy with gold hardware.SSSSSSSSSS gas.

cause they're lazy to carry heavy guitars...

But slash uses a les paul, joe perry, ace frehley, my chemical romance, saosin, thrice (sometimes), the ataris, billie joe, zakk wylde, jimmy page etc etc.
