Ibanez PGM30

hey SOFTies..ive been eying a Ibanez PGM30 for a few months now.been saving up the cash too.the problem is i dont know where to get it in S'pore.Ive been asking a few owners on how to get them but they havent seemed to reply.btw its not a PGM3.someone please help me.

Isn't that the maple fretboard version?
I think it's best for you to ask Swee Lee as they're the Ibanez dealers here in Singapore..
If they do have it in stock at the moment, it'll be in their special small room.. If not, you'd have to order through them, or eBay or something along those lines..

I know the PGM3 is in stock.. No either about the PGM30 though..

Yeah, you could try asking Swee Lee. I don't think they bring in the PGM 30 though, only the PGM 3. You can try ebay or something. The 30's come with the same pickups like the 3's, only the bridge is an Egde II(the latest batch of 3's come with an Edge III). Plus the PGM 30 is an older model so yeah... you got to order from ebay or something. The maple necked ones are PGM 301's.

thx guys..but u see...PGM30s are made in Japan whereas PGM3s are made in Indo or Korea.. thtas y i wanna get the PGM30..i trust japan's quality.lol.and from wat i heard the edge 3 sucks as hell..i heard it goes outta tune in 10mins of playing. ill check with swee lee..any here owns one?maybe u can tell me another place to get one.or maybe any websites that ship to s'pore.thx

Well to tune after 10 mins of playing is simply untrue. My RG 370 is equipped with the Edge III and it works perfectly. Maybe the tremolo is not set up properly.

actually if you're looking for pgm 30 i dont think you can find them anymore. they were mij guitars. pre 2003 models came with lo-trs2. post 2003 models came with the edge pro tremelo the ones u see on the prestige guitars, but the model was soon discontinued and the only remaining pgm models available to the public is the pgm3 (indonesian made now i think) and the pgm 301 which is prestige fixes bridge. you're best bet would be second hand or ebay.

apart from being made in Japan.thats one of the reasons why im looking for a PGM30.i want an edge pro bridge instead of a Edge 3.My other option would be get a PGM3 from swee lee then get a edge pro bridge and install it.the question is....does it fit?

hmm.. i used to own a PGM3.. Made in Indonesia with an Edge 3 bridge.. it stayed in tune perfectly even with heavy whammying man.. totally no complaints against the Edge 3..

i think i saw it at both sweelee outlets recently.should be, the one with maple fretboard and fhole graphic.

the one with th maple fretboard is the 301. the 30 came with rosewood fingerboard. the edge 3 is an alright tremelo unit. there are some complaints over at jemsite from some of the members who use them alot,that their trems wear out quickly. im not sure whether a edge pro will fit into a edge 3 rout but if u want a good trem unit, for half the edge pro price you could get a gotoh piece and it should fit in. and anyway the edge pro and most jap edges are made by gotoh for ibanez so there wont be lack of quality issues.

What do u think about the ibanez 370dx now..?is the edge 3 bridge still solid..?

i did not have problems with my MII PGM3. No tunning problems. I guess its a matter of setting it up right.
