Errr, rephrase your question?

From what I read, it seems like you are getting an RG Prestige which already comes with PAF Pro in the neck and bridge. But you want to achieve a telecaster kind of tone on the said guitar?

silverhand: Its like i want my Toyota Altis to be as fast as a Ferrari.

I don believe an RG can sound like a Tele. Number of frets, choice of pickups, types of wood, all are different. how to sound like a tele?????? 8O 8O

& don believe this theroy that by changing pickups, you will sound like someone or other brands of guitar.

buy a tele to get a tele sound.

no pesky weedididliliitylitiylity chugga chugga Ibanez RG is going to get you any tele sound.

thats my very biased and very unprofessional advise.

Hmm....now that u mention Line6 shreddy...i have a suggestion. Sell the Prestige and get a Variax. RG, Tele, watever sounds u want. Problem solved!

or u could do it like this dude, http://www.guitaristjeffmiller.com/guitars.htm buy a variax, take out the electronics, build any guitar body u want from scratch and put the variax electronics in it,and u got any guitar u want that can sound like a tele, bla bla bla......check his site out, i bet u'll start drooling....the dude makes his own guitars and they look fantastic....

Imo u cant nail tele tone on an RG but u can get a pup that has a gd split tone for more versatility ( still wont nail 100% single coil tone). I am also looking for a pup so that i can have gd split or parallel tone (My current pups is not able to b split) So far i am looking at Has-sound (boutique pups) Zen or Rogue.

Listen to the clips o this website esp the Zen Clips done by Muris Varajic. It is done in Humbucker and split. And with a High-Output pups try Bill Lawrence Q-filter, it meant to give more versatility.

Try visting these few websites also

And email em, they should be able to help you out better.

But it's also the most sensible thing I can think of saying...
